“ARE YOU PROUD?” XAY ARENA [locker room] - ON CAMERA scene one
It wasn’t but moments ago that Pure Amusement Wrestling’s Wicked 6: Super Show had come to an end. The night had accomplished nearly everything that was aimed to be accomplished. The first ever PAW Pure Champion was named. The first ever Last Man Standing Food Fight was witnessed. On top of that the first ever Titan’s of the Midway Champion was crowned as well. All in all to many people it would have been a very successful night. Indeed that was the case. It was a very successful night for some. Yet there was one person that didn’t share the same value by any means. That one person happened to be a man that had not only come up short in his quest but might have been the man to have the shittest night out of everyone.
With the cameras rolling in the backstage area. They found themselves specifically in the locker room area. Setting their focus on an empty locker room. Well it was as empty as it could be aside from the one lone person sitting there in a steel chair. Their jet black hair with the couple strands of blonde hanging on to those dark locks for dear life covered the face of the person sitting there. That’s when their hands could be seen coming up and running that hand through their hair to reveal the person sitting there just happened to be “The Marty” Calvin Harris. The expression on Calvin’s face kind of said everything that it needed to say. The man truly looked defeated.
That’s when he slowly raised his head where his eyes locked directly on the cameras. Almost like he had known they were going to be there this entire time.
t h e m a r t y r o f w r e s t l i n g C A L V I N ★彡 H A R R I S Are you proud of yourselves Pure Amusement Wrestling? Are you truly proud of yourselves?
The tone of voice that he used was a mixture between anger, frustration, and defeat. Very much different than the ego fueled and arrogance dripping tone of voice the audience had gotten from him.
t h e m a r t y r o f w r e s t l i n g C A L V I N ★彡 H A R R I S Since the year 2012. I have been on a mission to make a name for myself in this business. Since that year I have been doing everything I could to make a career out of wrestling. I’ve done all I could to escape the shadow of my family. I’ve done all I could to climb the ranks. Done all I’ve could to be one of the best to ever step through the ropes. Done all I could to become a champion. Done all that I could to create my own legacy.
Once more his hand ran through his sweat soaked hair. He could be seen slightly shaking his head from side to side.
t h e m a r t y r o f w r e s t l i n g C A L V I N ★彡 H A R R I S I was starting to get somewhere. Until a few weeks ago when I was hit with a roadblock by Michael Rissi and his shady ass fucking promotion known as Extreme Hardcore Wrestling Federation. Granted, I should have never gone to a place with a name like that. It sounds as jobberish as it gets in the first place. But after seven long months I got screwed out of everything I had worked for. I did the right thing. I left and I came here. I thought I was making the right choice in becoming part of this movement that is known as PAW. Turns out I was just as wrong coming here as I was going there.
Once those words came out of his mouth. Calvin pushed himself out of the chair that he was sitting in. Placing his hands on top of his head and taking a deep breath. It really appeared that he was truly frustrated. More importantly it was very clear that he was starting to regret the decision he made in coming to PAW.
t h e m a r t y r o f w r e s t l i n g C A L V I N ★彡 H A R R I S In one night. In one single match. In one fucking moment. This company ruined everything I had ever worked for. You know it was bad enough when I came into this place I was treated as if I was a nobody. I was treated as if no one knew who I was. Treated as if no one had ever heard of me. I was looked at as some jackass that wasn’t ever going to amount to nothing. That much was a given with how I was talked to. How people looked at me. How I was even placed in matches, but I’m a stubborn and honest asshole. I was determined to make this company realize they made the mistake in treating me as such from the gate. I was determined to succeed and climb to the top to cram those opinions right down their throats.
The intense look in Calvin’s eye was very much in focus by the cameras. One thing people should have learned about Calvin is when he was told he couldn’t do something and when people didn’t believe that he had the ability to do something. That did nothing more than motivate him to prove them wrong. Most of the time he was able to do that and he would never let them forget about it. Based on the tone at hand. It would’ve seemed like this one time he wasn’t able to make it become a reality.
t h e m a r t y r o f w r e s t l i n g C A L V I N ★彡 H A R R I S But obviously you were all out to make it hard for me. You placed me in a tag team match where I had to win in order to fight for a chance to become the number one contender of the PAW Pure Championship. Many would look at that as one hell of an opportunity. For it being like my second match with the company. Normally, I would agree with you. Only problem is you cocksuckers saddled me up with the most useless fucking partner known to man. You gave me Tyler Keenan. You knew he wasn’t worth a fuck. You knew he was a weak link. You knew that I had no chance at winning. That’s exactly what you aimed for and you technically got it. You just didn’t expect me to fight as hard as I did and I would’ve been in the position to compete for the number one contender spot if Keenan hadn’t turned his back on me like the bitch he was to cost us - no fuck that, there was no us - he cost me the victory!
His frustration was starting to come out a little more. Calvin slightly yanking on his hair in the process of going back over that night just a couple weeks ago.
t h e m a r t y r o f w r e s t l i n g C A L V I N ★彡 H A R R I S Then that lead to tonight. You all made it seem like you felt bad about the situation you put me in to begin with. So you placed me in a Titan’s of the Midway Championship match against Johnny Raike and Alex Cross. Though it was never a situation where you felt bad. If anything you might have pitied me and even then I don’t believe that’s the case. I feel like you wanted a scapegoat for the damn match. You wanted someone to make them look good. You never believed I was a threat to them or the championship. They sure as hell didn’t either. Yet for some odd reason needed the plan of teaming up to get rid of me. Bunch of inbred retarded motherfuckers that work here and don’t make any goddamn sense. By placing me in this situation. The company as a whole contributed to making sure I was screwed out of the championship. The company contributed to putting me in a bad situation. The company contributed to letting two guys jump me out. More importantly the company contributed to making me look and feel like a complete and utter fucking joke.
That seemed to be enough for him. All of the sudden Calvin grabbed a hold of the steel chair that he had been sitting in and with no effort really at all. He flung the chair across the room forcing it to smack one of the walls with a loud thud. Chances are people within the company were not going to see his point. They’d go out of their way to make it seem like it was all his fault. He knew that and that’s what pushed him closer and closer to the edge of truly snapping out. Spinning back around, Calvin put his eyes on the camera.
t h e m a r t y r o f w r e s t l i n g C A L V I N ★彡 H A R R I S Again I repeat, are you proud of yourself? Because of the company’s actions everything I have ever worked for with my career went down the drain. Because of the actions of this company I will never be who I was meant to be here. Because of the company’s actions every bit of confidence I ever had and everything that made me love this business has officially been ripped away from me. You have ruined me. You have taken everything from me. You have made me hate not only you as a company, but the professional wrestling business as a whole. Surely, you have to be happy. Surely, you have to be proud. No one goes out of their way to break a person like that and not get their jollies off!
From the expression on Calvin’s face. It looked like it truly took a shot at his ego and his pride to even admit that the company had managed to break him down in such a way. This was a man that never gave in, never backed down, and always drove his fist down someone’s face when they double crossed him. Yet now it appeared he was a former shell of himself.
t h e m a r t y r o f w r e s t l i n g C A L V I N ★彡 H A R R I S That leaves me asking myself: What is next? To me it seems like I am left with two options. I can stick around for a company that doesn’t respect me. Stick around for a company that’s hell bent on holding me down. Stick around and further let this company ruin the legacy that I have started to build over the last four years. Or there’s the second option where I walk out. I give my middle finger to the company. I give the middle to the boys in the back. I give the middle finger to the staff and I give the middle finger to Munin herself. I walk on out of here and essentially give the company what they want in me looking like a quitter. In knowing that they have truly broken me. It is said that you have made me come to this. It’s sad that I have to make that decision, but this is clearly what you people wanted.
Once more he could be seen shaking his head from side to side. There was no getting him to relax. There was no getting him to calm down. There was no getting Calvin to rationalize the situation at all. He felt how he felt and that’s just how it was. The frustration still there he took a couple more steps towards the cameras.
t h e m a r t y r o f w r e s t l i n g C A L V I N ★彡 H A R R I S Well read my lips... I’ll never give you the satisfaction of knowing what my neck move is. You made the biggest mistake you could have made in disrespecting me and now one way or another you’ll pay for it!
The intense eyes of Calvin were the focus once again. Looking into those eyes truly made people feel that the man was serious. At the same time looking into those eyes really left people with the impression that he was going to make them wait on what the outcome of his decision was going to be. Not many might have viewed things the way that he did. Some people might even felt like he was overreacting. At the same time though losing a member of the roster of any company wasn’t a good thing either. That note the cameras found themselves slowly fading out with the intense eyes on them until they had finally faded to black leaving people to wonder what the future of Calvin Harris would end up being.
“SUPPORT SYSTEM” ALESSANDRA’S HOME - OFF CAMERA scene two
A month spent in rehab might not have been a long stay to some. In fact some people might have even said that only a month into rehab with a serious drug problem wasn’t going to do much for anyone. Though in the mind of Calvin, it had done enough for him. It had made him get a grip on some things, provided him with some useful tips, and on top of that he believed that he could truly beat this. Though it seemed he didn’t trust himself enough to go back home to Chicago because he had reached out to his ex-girlfriend and someone he was becoming close with once more about staying with her for a few weeks. At least until he could get his feet under him again. Thankfully for him she had agreed.
It was fairly late and in the morning Calvin had a flight out to Louisiana. Something that he had kind of kept to himself. Not that he didn’t think that Alessandra would be supportive. At the same time though she had been so supportive that she hadn’t really let him out of her sight all that much since he came to stay. He had himself on the couch as the two had been watching a movie with her daughter. To which VP had leaned over in his direction and fell asleep across his lap. Calvin looked over at Alessandra and cleared his throat lightly to gain her attention. Obviously not wanting to wake the little girl up.
t h e m a r t y r o f w r e s t l i n g C A L V I N ★彡 H A R R I S Do you want me to take her upstairs?
t h e g i r l w o n d e r N O V A ★彡 W O N D E R I got this. It's kinda' my job.
The blonde who's hair was dip dyed with electric blue coloring smiled slightly. This had been a spot she'd found herself in more than once. Her two year old was always a ball of energy so dropping off when doing something that required a low energy level wasn't really that uncommon. Dressed in an oversized red flannel shirt with the sleeves rolled up, tucked into the front of a pair of black shorts, the Hall of Fame winner gently lifted the unconscious girl into her arms, placing her sleepy head on her shoulder.
t h e g i r l w o n d e r N O V A ★彡 W O N D E R Give me just a second, okay? I'll put her down and go nab the baby monitor.
He quickly nodded his head a little bit.
t h e m a r t y r o f w r e s t l i n g C A L V I N ★彡 H A R R I S Sure thing.
That being said Alessandra made her exit from the living room area with the small child clutched to her chest. Calvin reached over and grabbed a hold of the remote from the side of the couch where she had been sitting. Pressing one button forced the cartoon movie that had been playing to come to an end. Calvin truly had no idea what it was. He just knew the small human was into it and he dealt with it. He started to flip through the channels of the television. He was letting his mind wonder on how he was going to bring this trip up to her. Again, he knew she would be supportive. Yet however ever since she informed him of how worried she was about the things she was doing.
He didn’t want to give her any reason to think he was going to relapse the first time he was on his own. A few moments pass before the sound of bare feet padding down the stairs can be heard once again. Wondergirl, as she is professionally known, appears with a device that resembles a walkie-talkie attached to the waistband of her black shorts. Removing the monitor, there is a small screen on it, giving her a bird's eye view of the sleeping girl. Setting the monitor on the coffee table, she took a seat on the couch.
t h e g i r l w o n d e r N O V A ★彡 W O N D E R Told you I wouldn't be long. Sorry if you missed me so much that you couldn't stand it.
She grinned, crossing one short leg over the other. Letting out a small chuckle as he straightened himself out on the couch for her to be able to take a seat.
t h e m a r t y r o f w r e s t l i n g C A L V I N ★彡 H A R R I S Yeah, I was beginning to wonder what I was going to do with myself. You were gone for like ever!
He chuckled a little more as he finally stopped flipping through the channels. Not really putting anything important on because he felt the best way to approach the situation at hand was just being honest. He looked over in her direction.
t h e m a r t y r o f w r e s t l i n g C A L V I N ★彡 H A R R I S So, I need to tell you something. It isn’t like a big deal or anything but I know how things have been since you agreed to let me stay here.
Her attention was focusing on him. Calvin seeing that slightly puzzled look on her face. Almost like she wasn’t too sure what she was going to be getting out of him. Yet the last thing he wanted was for her to think the worse.
t h e m a r t y r o f w r e s t l i n g C A L V I N ★彡 H A R R I S I haven’t officially decided to leave Pure Amusement Wrestling. I know that I’ve toyed with the idea since two weeks ago, but I haven’t brought myself to make that decision. Not sure why either.
There was a slight shrug in his shoulders.
t h e m a r t y r o f w r e s t l i n g C A L V I N ★彡 H A R R I S But anyway, I gotta fly out to Louisiana in the morning. I’ll be gone for a few days to handle some business and to compete in this match they got me in.
t h e g i r l w o n d e r N O V A ★彡 W O N D E R Oh.
She felt that teasing smile fall from her lips, the apples of her cheeks deflating slightly. In all honesty, it had been comforting to have him there. Something much like their old times, but also another set of hands on deck when it came to tending to her daughter.
t h e g i r l w o n d e r N O V A ★彡 W O N D E R Well, I hope that you have a good flight. And so help me if you even think of snorting anything at all, I will personally make it a mission to castrate you.
Alessandra's smile was almost... pleasant, in spite of her very cold threat.
t h e g i r l w o n d e r N O V A ★彡 W O N D E R So, you know, the couch is still open for you when you're done.
For a moment he kind of sat there in silence. Her reaction wasn’t exactly what he was expecting. It appeared that him leaving bothered her to a degree, but at the same time she was supportive. Calvin raised his eyebrow some.
t h e m a r t y r o f w r e s t l i n g C A L V I N ★彡 H A R R I S Well, I did plan on coming back. I’m not a hundred percent sure I’m ready to go back to Chicago yet.
A lot of Calvin’s reason for not wanting to go home dealt with him not trusting himself just yet. At the same time it also had a lot to do with the fact that he would be alone once more. When he was alone, he started to think about that situation that started his downward spiral in December. Not that he didn’t think about it now, but it was a little different. He had someone around if he wanted to talk about it.
t h e m a r t y r o f w r e s t l i n g C A L V I N ★彡 H A R R I S But I mean if you’ve felt like I’ve overstayed my welcome. I do understand. I can go back home. It’s not that big of a deal I guess.
Over the last few weeks being around her was nice. It felt like old times - without all the fighting and arguing they did back in those days. Not to mention he had gotten pretty close to her daughter. He had no problem helping out and he truly enjoyed being around her. To go back and leave that would also bother him. He wouldn’t fool himself on the matter. But he could tell there was still something wrong even if she was supportive.
t h e m a r t y r o f w r e s t l i n g C A L V I N ★彡 H A R R I S Are you really sure, you’re alright with me even leaving for this match?
t h e g i r l w o n d e r N O V A ★彡 W O N D E R I'm not your mom, Calvin. I am not exactly in a position where I can hold you down and say that you can do this, or you can't do that, or you can go here but not there.
Her words were a little on the snide side. Yet, her body language seemed to take on a different side of the argument. She extended her legs across the couch cushions and thusly, her calves resting on his lap - almost like a seatbelt, fastening him in on her couch.
t h e g i r l w o n d e r N O V A ★彡 W O N D E R I'm not going to say I wouldn't be sad to see you go. It's been kinda' nice having a man around the house. But... it's your choice. If you don't want to stay, I can't make you. I'd like you to... but it's your choice.
With her legs stretching out across his lap. It was like clockwork considering they had spent a lot of their nights together on the couch the last couple of weeks. His hands placed on top of her legs and gave them a light rub. Moving his hand up and down her smooth legs.
t h e m a r t y r o f w r e s t l i n g C A L V I N ★彡 H A R R I S I want to say Alessandra. I do. Being here has felt more like home than any other place in the last couple of months. I truly appreciate you letting me stay here and like to continue to stay.
His words were genuine. Calvin had never been one to really bullshit anyone. He had a mouth on him and he spoke the truth. Even if it bothered people and upset people in the process. This wasn’t going to be one of those times.
t h e m a r t y r o f w r e s t l i n g C A L V I N ★彡 H A R R I S But I do need to go handle this match. Drugs took a lot from me. They took my personal life away from and they caused me to lose things with my career as well. I’ve got to show the world I’m still the man I once was. No more falling on my face and looking like a joke that the company believes that I am.
t h e g i r l w o n d e r N O V A ★彡 W O N D E R Go. Do your thing. Get your redemption. Rebuild your life and your career. Rebuild yourself.
Her small, tattooed hand urged him on by coming to rest on his shoulder, giving it a squeeze. Not a large one, however. A very selfish part of the traditionally very self-serving Deathmatch specialist didn't want to distract him from his hands on her smooth legs.
t h e g i r l w o n d e r N O V A ★彡 W O N D E R I want you to have the career you want and the career that you deserve. I want you to take hold of all of the things that you want, and take whatever you need to feel fulfilled. The ONLY thing that I want is for you to come back to me afterwards.
Alessandra felt a slight warmth rush over her cheeks, hating herself for the vulnerability that she was showing. It wasn't something that she enjoyed - showing all of her cards had never done much good for her. This was a big risk for her to take, especially after her engagement had fallen apart.
t h e g i r l w o n d e r N O V A ★彡 W O N D E R So that way, you can tell me all about it.
Neither one of them were very emotional kind of people. Not often did they come into touch with their emotions or speak from the heart. Alessandra had her own issues when it came to her engagement failing. Then of course Calvin had his own issues as well. From when he and Chasity split because she pushed him away, but he thought it was a good idea to cheat. To the issues he and Carli had with rushing into getting engaged. Then the whole issue with losing his kid that he and Chasity were expecting after he and Carli split. Simply put the two of them were one big old mess when it came to that part of their lives.
So it took a lot for them to have anything to say from the emotional side of things. Calvin looked over at her with a small smile starting to form over the corners of his lips.
t h e m a r t y r o f w r e s t l i n g C A L V I N ★彡 H A R R I S Thank you.
It was nice to have someone that supported him. It was nice to have someone on his side for once. It was nice to have someone that wanted to see him succeed. Not that he didn’t have that before, but it had been a long-long time since he had the support of others. A lot of that was his own fault and a lot of it had to do with situations that were beyond anyone’s control. And the fact that she understood where he was coming from in having to get his career back. That made it all the better.
t h e m a r t y r o f w r e s t l i n g C A L V I N ★彡 H A R R I S Well, you’re going to hear a lot about what happens with this next match. In fact I might even need you to help me get someone’s blood out of my gear. Because I plan on severely hurting the person I’m in the ring with. Something this person deserves!
Calvin had full intentions of putting his hands on the next person he climbed into the ring with. It was no secret how he felt about the company and how the company had treated him since signing his name to the dotted line. Made sense that the next time he was in the ring he was out for blood. Patting her thigh as he spoke up.
t h e m a r t y r o f w r e s t l i n g C A L V I N ★彡 H A R R I S Try not to miss me too much though while I’m gone.
He let that smirk of his cross his lips right back towards the teasing nature that the two of them shared with one another. Knowing that he had her support and knowing what he had to do for himself as well as his career had Calvin in the right state of mind. It was now simply just a matter of making sure that he made the most of the next time he was in the ring. One thing that Alessandra knew about Calvin that not many others didn’t know is when the man felt like his back was against the wall and when he felt he had something to prove. He was one of the most dangerous men walking on the planet.
“UNSTABLE” THE GREEK THEATRE [front stage] - ON CAMERA scene three
The days were getting closer and closer to Pure Amusement Wrestling’s Wicked 7 show. It was going to be taking place at somewhere a little different than usual as the company would be invading Baton Rouge, Louisiana at The Greek Theatre. To a lot of people that was special and that was something to be excited about. Not everyone was going to feel that way. In fact there were going to be some people that only looked forward to this event as it was going to be a night for them to turn the company upside down on its head with no remorse or guilt for doing so.
With the cameras turning themselves on it was broad day light out. The weather was pretty warm aside from the light breeze in the air that existed forcing it to have a slight chill. Those very cameras were focused on the big open area that was known as the Greek Theatre. The very place that PAW would be invading a few days from now. It didn’t take long at all for the cameras to soon find themselves focusing on something a little more important or should we say someone a little more important. Sitting right there on one of the concrete slabs that looked like a seat happened to be Calvin Harris.
He was glaring right towards the center of theatre. The exact area in which the ring would be set up. It appeared as if he knew that the cameras were there. Because without even looking or acknowledging the cameras. He had spoke up and was putting his attention on one person specifically.
t h e m a r t y r o f w r e s t l i n g C A L V I N ★彡 H A R R I S CJ O’Donnell.
He briefly paused for the moment to let it soak into the viewers and more so to CJ O’Donnell that he wanted his attention.
t h e m a r t y r o f w r e s t l i n g C A L V I N ★彡 H A R R I S CJ... CJ... CJ... You are a man that right now truly believes he has a lot of power. You are a man that believes you are in a position where you are higher up than everyone else on the roster. You are in a position where you think that you’re one of the most important men on the roster. You are even a man that believes that all eyes should be on here. Reason being is because you are officially the man that holds the number one contendership of the PAW Pure Championship. You are the man that sometime in the very-very near future will be facing BombTrax.
Making mere mention of this caused Calvin’s eyes to narrow some. It would have appeared that Calvin didn’t so much care for the match that was sure to happen in the near future. Yet there was a reason for it. There was always a method to Calvin’s madness.
t h e m a r t y r o f w r e s t l i n g C A L V I N ★彡 H A R R I S That would be something to be proud of if it was something that you had truly earned in the first place. Because let’s face it shall we CJ? You might have beaten Trixie to win that number one contendership a few weeks back, but you didn’t truly deserve to be in that situation in the first place. You know as well as I know that the only reason that you were in that situation to begin with is because that tag match that the both of us were involved in was nothing more than a complete and utter clusterfuck. Most importantly than that CJ. You saw what happened in that match.
After all you were the one that took advantage of it. I had a deadbeat partner. I got paired with someone that didn’t have heart. I got paired with someone that didn’t have talent. I got paired with someone that went out of his way to cost me the fucking match. Why? Well, I could go into several theories as to why. Personally, I believed the company paid him off to try and screw me over because it’s clear they want to hold me down. But at the same time I truly believe that in my heart of hearts Tyler didn’t want the team to win because he was too much of a bitch to get in the ring with me one on one for the number one contendership.
Yes, that was Calvin’s opinion on things. It might not have been the popular opinion. It might have not been the same opinion that most would share, but there was no changing his opinion. Especially considering Keenan took his ball and ran home the first chance he got.
t h e m a r t y r o f w r e s t l i n g C A L V I N ★彡 H A R R I S During that tag match CJ, you knew that I had it won. So did everyone else. It would have been Tyler and I competing for that number one contendership had it not been for the faggot attacking me and screwing everything up. Now don’t get it twisted and don’t get me wrong CJ. I am not blaming you for taking advantage of the situation. I don’t blame you one bit. Because had I been paired up with someone that was actually working with me and not against me. Had the company clearly not been out to cost me since I signed my name to a contract. Then I would have done what you did, took advantage of it, won the match, and got myself in the position to compete for the number one contendership.
Then again at the same time I wouldn’t be walking around here acting like you do. I wouldn’t be walking around here thinking like I truly accomplished something, as if I was better than everyone else, and as if it was a given that I’m going to go on to be champion. You see unlike you CJ, I actually have a brain. I would’ve known that even though I took advantage of the situation. I didn’t truly beat anyone fair and square. Had I been in your shoes and had you been in mine. I would have known that I didn’t truly beat you. I didn’t truly prove anything that night when it comes to you. It was something that would eat away at me until I did something to make it right. Sure, I’m an asshole and I know I’m better than anyone I step in the ring with.
But I couldn’t say that until I had beaten you had the roles been reversed. And speaking of if those roles were reversed, speaking of it eating away at me until I did something about it. What I would have done exactly to the tee would have been challenge you to a match. You and I one on one, to prove who was truly better than the other. On top of that CJ, I would have put the number one contendership on the line. Because it wouldn’t have been something that I had truly deserved until I could beat you. That’s what I would have done to make it right. That’s what I would have done to do the right thing. That’s what I would have done in order to see to it that things were fair. Then again that’s not how it went down and I’m not in that position.
On that note Calvin pushed himself up from the concrete slab. Starting to walk around to where his feet could hit the ground and where he could start to make his way to the center of the Greek Theatre.
t h e m a r t y r o f w r e s t l i n g C A L V I N ★彡 H A R R I S Everything that I have said that I am going to do is the exact opposite of what you’re going to do. It is the exact opposite of what you’re doing. See, you didn’t come to me as a man and challenge me. You didn’t see what happened as a situation where I was truly screwed. You didn’t see it as a situation where you didn’t prove anything. You didn’t see it as a situation where you needed to make something right and of course in all of that came the whole number one contendership not being on the line. You know what amuses me about your mindset CJ? You’ll push yourself like you’re a badass. You’ll push yourself as someone that will legitimately fight anyone. You push yourself and your goons on twitter as psychopaths. Brag on and on about how you’re unstable. How mentally off you are. How crazy you are. You push this week in and week out, but when it comes down to fighting for something. Proving yourself and doing the right thing, you very quickly turn into a baby back bitch!
At this point Calvin was at the center of the Greek Theatre and had managed to turn himself around to face the cameras. Locking eyes with them for the first time since they had began recording. There was a smirk spread right across his lips at that moment. Comments like that were bound to piss someone off, but based on that smirk. It would have appeared that’s exactly what he was going for.
t h e m a r t y r o f w r e s t l i n g C A L V I N ★彡 H A R R I S And I hope that is something that pisses you off. I hope that it is something that gets under your skin. I hope that it is something that just eats away at you, CJ. Because it is something that eats away at me, it is something that gets under my skin, and it is something that pisses me off. I have never been a fan of men that come into this business, run their mouths, act like they are the greatest thing walking, and then when it comes to proving it. They turn into a little bitch. Matter of fact it just irks me to no end in general that men act like bitches. I don’t believe that’s what we were put on this earth for. I don’t believe it was ever intended for man to have bitch like tendencies but it happens a lot. More and more each day.
See, after that tag match CJ. I could have been a bitch. Once it was clear that I got screwed over by the company and by Keenan. I could have taken my ball and went home like every other bitch that doesn’t get what they want in this company. Yet, I didn’t do that. Instead I let that motivate me. I let that carry me over into the match I had for the Titan’s of the Midway Championship against Johnny Raike and Alex Cross. Now we all know how I feel about that. It’s clear I got screwed over once again by the company. I got screwed over by two men that literally doubled teamed me the entire night. Right then and there I could have made the call to walk. In fact the thought crossed my mind, but I’m no bitch and I’m not going to give people what they want.
Shaking his head from side to side to support his statement.
t h e m a r t y r o f w r e s t l i n g C A L V I N ★彡 H A R R I S Once again I am using that as motivation to carry me into this match with you, CJ. But I also have motivation from you knowing that you’re a bitch and therefore you don’t have the right to exist in my business. Not to mention I am motivated to prove to this entire fucking company that you don’t deserve that number one contender’s spot that you have. I am out to prove that you do not deserve a shot at Bombtrax. Out to prove that you don’t deserve a shot at the PAW Pure Championship. Now of course to you, CJ. I’m not capable of doing that. In your foolish mind CJ, you don’t consider me a threat. You think I’m talking out my ass. You might be a bitch but that doesn’t change the fact that you’re still an arrogant piece of shit.
Yet what you’re not letting sink into that thick skull of yours is how easy it is for me to make my point. You don’t get just how easy it’ll be for me to rob you of everything you have, just like I’ve been robbed of everything that I have. See CJ, there’s a difference between playing the role of being unstable and actually being unstable. There are things that have happened in my life now since last year that has put me in a very unstable mindset. Nine times out of ten I don’t think straight and seeing as the ring has been my escape from what haunts me. I’m just unstable enough to actually go out of my way to slaughter someone in the ring. Whether that be using my fists or using the first thing that I can get my hands on. I am legit and you’re just playing pretend.
At this point CJ, you can guarantee that when we step into the ring with one another. I am going to teach you two lessons. The first lesson is I am going to teach you what it is like to be a man. I am going to be in your face. I am going to stand there and take whatever you have the balls to give out. Then when I don’t back down. When you can’t knock me down. When piss starts running down your leg in fear as you truly understand what a real man is about. Then that’s when the second lesson is going to come into play and the second lesson a lesson in not pretending to be something you're not. I’m going to make you bleed. I am going to choke you to the point you almost take your final breath. I will make you look into the eyes of a truly unstable individual!
Those words coming out of his mouth were words to truly think about it. They were words, they were threats, and they might have even be promises that CJ needed to take very seriously. That being said Calvin stepped up on the center of the greek theatre. Planting his feet firmly on the concrete and made his way up. Making sure the cameras were right on him making him the center of attention. Something that it appeared he aimed for every chance he got.
t h e m a r t y r o f w r e s t l i n g C A L V I N ★彡 H A R R I S Truth be told CJ. I can sit here and tell you word for word what I intend on doing to you. I can tell you word for word what I think of you. I can talk and talk until I am blue in the face, but in the end it’s going to be nothing more than a waste of my time and I’m no fool. I know it’ll go in one ear and out the other. I am just hoping for your sake. You smarten up a little bit. Don’t write me off like everyone else has. For it’s going to end badly for you and in that case you’re going to have no one to blame but yourself.
In looking at the cameras Calvin let his eyes narrow once more. The intensity and the seriousness of the situation starting to take over. He wanted to drive all points home and he really wanted to get through to CJ. Though there was a chance that he wouldn’t and in the mind of Calvin. That was going to be all on CJ.
t h e m a r t y r o f w r e s t l i n g C A L V I N ★彡 H A R R I S Enjoy these last couple days CJ. For life as you know it is about to change!
Those same intense eyes remained on the cameras with that arrogant smirk spread across his lips. That turned out to be the last thing that needed to be said on Calvin’s end. This lead to the Martyr turning himself around and stepped down from the monumental of the theatre that was there in the middle. Calvin continued to step getting further and further away from the cameras until they finally had no choice but to fade to black. It was going to be truly interesting to see how this ended up going. Calvin had his mindset and way of doing things. CJ O’Donnell had this mindset and his way of doing things. All in all when these two men clashed it was bound to create history.

Fade up.
You know what we're preparing for. And in somewhat uncharacteristic fashion, it doesn't take long to find the centerpiece of the interview. In fact, we're locked in on him with a tight close-up. It's “The Distinguished” Caleb James O’Donnell and he's currently sitting comfortably in what we can only speculate is a flitting vehicle. The interior is a suede cream color. But that matters little at the moment.
O'Donnell is clad in baggy, black jeans and a white sweatshirt with the letters Unstable emblazoned on the front in bold, capitalized navy lettering. He looks calm, well rested from his latest war in Pure Amusement Wrestling.
And this time, it doesn't take too long for Caleb James to shatter the repetitive silence. He begins with a nonchalant look smeared over his face.
“Well, it's all been said and done. Caleb James O'Donnell and Trixie had their match. Some people showed their true colors. Several men watched from chairs in the back. Others did not exactly agree with the way I went about it. But a win is a win and Wicked is in the books. Titles were won at this first major Pay Per View for PAW. Johnny Raike and Press walked out a few pounds heavier yet everyone is asking me one question. When will I cash in to face Press for the PAW Pure Championship?”
A slight pause.
“When the right opportunity presents itself. Not a moment sooner.”
As a smirk appears across the face of the number one contender to the PAW Pure Championship one has to wonder what is going through his mind.
“I hope that is okay with you Press?”
As the smirk disappears from CJ’s face you can in his tone as he gets a little more serious.
“Trixie thought she was going to be able to shake her ass and it would make me weak at the knees but I was the one who made her weak in the knees when I planted that kiss on her. I told everyone to expect the unexpected. I told everyone that I would win. Did they listen? Absolutely not and that is fine. I will be that bad guy. The asshole. The King of Controversy. Everyone says that blood, sweat, and tears make you a better wrestler. And while that may be true in part you also need something else. It was my quick thinking that made me victorious. I know when Lady Munin signed me to the contract she said that I would have some easy matches in the beginning but I have hardly broken a sweat yet since I have debuted. ”
A small grin creeps up on the side of Caleb James's face, as if he's about to crack a laugh or two. But he doesn't. Instead, the grin does form and CJ continues speaking.
“Come on Pure Amusement Wrestling is that the best you got? I know someone wants to shut me up? Who is it going to be? Is anyone man enough for the challenge of dethroning The Distinguished One?”
Pausing yet again, Caleb releases an exhausted sigh.
“Trixie, I'm not gonna sit here and compliment you for being your best. There isn't a doubt in my mind though that you brought your best stuff. I can see it in your eyes how hard you were trying to win and when I defeated you you looked stunned. It was like looking into a kid’s eyes at Christmas morning after he opened up coal and he thought he was a good boy or girl.”
For a brief moment, O’Donnell fidgets in place. Perhaps looking to make himself more comfortable, who knows?
“But like I said, I came to PAW to make a statement and I have done exactly that. When I look around the locker room I see a lot of lost little boys and girls. Everyone claiming to be a superstar when in reality they are just amateurs looking to make a quick buck. Have no fear I’ll go to Baton Rouge and do what I do best.”
He nods in acknowledgment of his upcoming opponent.
“Here we go.... Another insightful youngster who believes he is the next big thing in sports entertainment. Another man who thinks he hits harder, runs faster, jumps higher, and can get the job done like no other can. A man who thinks he knows me after he has wrestled me in a tag team match. Sure, he's seen me wrestle. But any man who knows good CJ O'Donnell knows that he never fights the same fight twice. Ever showing, every turnout, they are all different. I approach no challenger the same as another or the same man the same way ever again.”
CJ hesitates for a moment this time making an obvious sign of a slight chuckle.
“But Calvin Harris knows this because he is the "real" deal here in PAW. Sorry Calvin but you talk a bunch of shit but let’s face it you choke when the bell rings. What exactly have you done in the PAW? NOTHING! That is what. You know when I first saw you I thought you had what it takes but you are just like everyone else in the back. You think you are better while I know I am better than everyone. Even if I lose I am still better than you. You wanna know why? Because I believe it. Look into my eyes and you will see nothing but confidence. So go ahead Calvin and be a man of talent, the future of the PAW. This man is a walking legend and we should all bow down at his feet. Hail Calvin Harris, King of the "I'm just like everybody else." Calvin, I've seen it a thousand times. Your nothing new, nothing special. Your just like every other hot head running around calling me lucky. I may be without my brothers of Unstable Calvin, but at least I'm original. Atleast I am willing to take a fucking chance. I do not and will not play it safe.”
CJ runs his left hand threw his red hair while his right hand firmly braces the steering wheel. CJ's baby blue eyes gaze at the road before him as he continues to speak.
“But far be it from me to question the man who has "paid his dues”. Please Calvin, hit your head against the wall and wake up to smell some reality. This promotion has been alive for no more then a hiccup. Nobody, not even yours truly have paid their dues here. Oh, but you did this and that and beat him or her before. Well that's just dandy. You want past, I could give you a little recap on my past that would blow you clear across the globe Calvin and that's the plain and simple truth. But I forgot, the name Calvin Harris will stick out in the minds of everyone for years to come. I've got news for you Calvin, I didn't even know you existed until I was bound by contract to wrestle you. You know why, cause the only ones who stand out to me are people that impress me. And in my book, the Distinguished's book, you have done nothing to impress me or anyone else. The only reason you got this match is because you bitched and complained about how you were screwed in the Titans of Midways Championship Match. Lady Munin has personally asked me to make you suffer and teach you a thing or two about respect.”
CJ seems to be building up a sweat as he reaches for a small napkin in the glove department. He gently brushes it against his forehead and grabs his water from the cup holder. O’Donnell returns both hands on the wheel but not before crumbling up the napkin and placing it aside.
“Have I lost matches? Absolutely but I have never claimed to be perfect. I make mistakes. I am human but you see I learn from my them unlike most people. I came here as a virtual nobody. Maybe that is why I get so pumped up when I hear my theme song play. It gives me fucking goosebumps. It gets the blood flowing and I become a mother fucking beast. Go ahead and call me whatever the fuck you want because it the end I am still the next in line to face the PAW Pure Champion. Go ahead and be jealous it is fine. Soon you will be bowing down to me as the face of PAW. Go ahead and doubt me but you have heard it here first…”
A look of focus runs down the face of the Distinguished. Suddenly his car begins to build a little speed as his hair can be seen blowing in the wind.
“Calvin I don't need to prove myself to you or anyone. I've done that all ready. It was no mistake that I defeated Trixie last night. Watch out Calvin, I'm gonna show you what being unstable is all about!”
CJ quickly pulls away from the camera's sight leaving us with one last glimpse of the rear end of his vehicle zooming away underneath the sunset as the camera slowly fades to black.
————————————————————————————————————
March 29th 2016
Fade up.
The clear blue skies roll into view and steal our breathe away on such a perfect day. It's a cool, crisp Louisiana afternoon as our camera slowly begins to pan down. As we do so, a familiar figure slowly begins to creep into our perspective. A 45º turn is what follows, revealing this figure's face. And without a doubt, we've become accustomed to viewing his mug on a weekly basis. This man is none other than “The Distinguished” Caleb James O'Donnell.
It's definitely a great day for a walk in the park. And CJ is proving that notion, as he methodically treads past a field of evenly mowed grass. Not much emotion within his mannerisms, but definitely not sluggish-looking, either. He’s clad in black windbreakers and a baggy navy hooded sweatshirt.
Our dauntless cameraman pans around the champion, so that we’re backpedaling in front of CJ. O’Donnell takes this opportunity to look up at the camera lens. His silence is broken finally.
“To quote a wise man - I came, I saw, I conquered….”
Laughing is just too easy and expected, thus, CJ greets us with a simple shaking of his head. He stands still, arms at his hips, as his baby blue eyes just glare towards the camera.
“I guess once certain wrestlers surpass the level of insanity in the ring the on going wars of chair bashing and head banging onslaughts really do get to ones head. Now, I could be wrong here Harris, but who’s the number one contender?”
CJ's eyes roll before he glares back towards the viewers.
“Phew, for a second there I thought I somehow was no longer the next in line for a shot. I mean, Calvin Harris seems to know everything. I mean, he is the elite of the wrestling world as he so gracefully puts it. And I, Caleb James O'Donnell, well I am just a court jester who appeases the fans in attendance.”
The sarcastic pun rolls off CJ's tongue as his legs regain motion as he makes his way down the long cemented pathway that runs down the center of the public park.
“Who am I to compare to a man like Calvin Harris. I mean, this guy puts fear into camera men around the world as he continuously threatens to assault those vicious media reporters. I don't know about you, but I’ve got trouble sleeping at night. As soon as I glance in those crazed brown eyes of his it's then I realize I'm just so normal. He's a legend, errr.... something like that.”
I think it's time for the bullshit to end as CJ is just having too much fun. He's a professional, he's supposed to be serious. The camera man continues to back pedal as he walks a few steps in front of O’Donnell who so politely smiles for all of us to see his pearly whites.
“Calvin, let me be straight forward with ya. Lying may have gotten you into this match, but it's not gonna get you past it. Keep making threats to mystery men who hide in the shadows when you yourself cowered in fear from showing your face weeks at a time. Your just like everyone else Harris. You run your life attempting to be different, but in the end, your just the same as Johnny Raike, Flaming Youth and Trixie’s of the world. What do all those competitors have in common with you Calvin? Well, they all came into a match with me and thought they were different. They thought they were better than me, Caleb James O'Donnell. Like you, they were wrong…”
The poetic and powerful words of CJ seem so simple, yet so effective. The Distinguished One's confidence these days continues to raise, and for good reason.
“Gold may break when it meets steel, I don't doubt that for a second there Calvin. I'm sorry there Calvin, but there is no way your presence alone will break me, it's just not possible. Sure I've got the money, the girls, the looks, hell I've got the touch too there Calvin. But I've also got something else, it's called talent. Now before you get your panties in an uproar I'm not saying you don't. I mean, you can slam those steel chairs pretty hard. No ordinary man can grab a chair and knock someone out with it, it takes someone special, like yourself. Did you ride that short yellow bus to school?”
CJ tries to keep a serious tone while filming, and he's doing a pretty damn good job, but the slightest thoughts of Calvin Harris's ridiculous comments almost send him into laughter, yet, he holds his distinguished poise.
“You, just like every other wrestler out there thinks they know me, and best of all, my weaknesses. So the key is to cheat, yep, that's the secret I've been hiding all these years, just cheat and I'll fall at your feet and beg for you to pin me. You see Calvin, the key to being a fighter is to be better than the man you face, the key to staying hungry is to be able to overcome all obstacles thrown in your face. Whether it's chairs being driven across my skull, female wrestlers grinding their ass on my member, or managers trying to distract me, I've overcome them all Calvin. I welcome the challenge. I like people to think they know exactly who or what I am about. So that way when I do something they would consider out of the ordinary it throws them off their game plan. That is when the real fun begins as you see the panic in your opponent’s eyes. They start second guessing themselves. Then that make that key mistake and that is when I go for it.”
“I haven't forgotten why I'm here Harris. I know exactly why I'm here and soon you'll realize it. The fact is now that I have been named the number one contender to the PAW Pure Championship I want it more than ever. Why? Cause I've tasted what it's like to be the best in the business in other federations and let me tell you Harris it's the sweetest thing your mouth has ever touched. I want to get back on top of that moment and if that means making you look foolish than so be it. But I don't want just a taste anymore, I want it all. For that reason alone I approach each match in better condition and more focused then ever. Every time I pin one of you "I'm different then anyone you've ever faced" morons this hunt becomes worth more and more. When I'm in the ring the Lord himself could be tending to the sheep that you proclaim flock around the ring but I wouldn't notice. For the minute you step underneath those ropes and the bell rings I will not spare you a second to breathe. I don't have time to worry about the world, all my focus, my undevoted attention, well it's on you and only you!”
The veins in CJ's forehead are pressing threw his skin. He no longer is walking along the pale green grass but stopped dead in his tracks. His fists are clutched tightly at his side as he is ready for war.
“Put forth all your effort in trying to make me quit. But Harris, champions never say die and I am a champion. It does not matter if the gold is around my waist or not. I am going to be the man that takes the title from around Press’ waist. Whether you want to recognize it or not. I could care less if you bring in ratings and reviews from sources around the world. You just may be the savior of PAW bringing us a whole new audience that we never thought we'd have. But guess what Harris, the number of people watching doesn't change the fact that I'm gonna bounce your head of every turnbuckle in the ring. When one more young child flips over to the PAW network you don't suddenly get a second wind or a power surge. I wish it worked like that Harris, I really do. So the battle of good and evil is what the fans want, but who they want to win doesn't matter. I may be the single most appreciated man in the business and you may very well be the man all the little children fear at night, but like I said before Harris, it doesn't matter, none of it does.”
Caleb's wise remarks spark interest in all those listening. O’Donnell stands beneath a cluttering of branches from a good sized tree beside him.
“Bring whatever you have to offer Harris! Bring it all! Bend my body in positions that weren't meant to be, stretch those tendons, rip my freakin' arm off. Break my bones and bring a smile to your face. Nothing in my mind says that my blood will not bleed at your hands and you can taste the blood all you want. But victory you shalt not have. For never in my life will the words "I quit" roll of my tongue and press between my lips at your hands. I'm ready till feel the wrath of Calvin Harris! I'm ready to see the monster make what will be a fatal attempt at beginning a new era in PAW. Your time as the savior for PAW may very well be due but it will not be at the 11th Hour and it will not be at my expense. I'm as ready as ready can be Harris, but are you?”
“Are you ready to face the simple thought that a man of my stature just may prove you wrong? Are you ready to accept the fact that a single man alone could hand you defeat? Are you ready to admit that you are nothing but a fodder of my greatness? My life will unquestionably change after we meet Harris but it's not because I stood face to face with the monster of the federation. It's not because I survived this so called error of terror that has yet to strike fear into the eyes of anyone but little girls who pee in their beds. No Harris! My life will change because I will tally one more win against a man who thought he was better than me. My life will change because once again I will prove to those who still doubt me that I am the real fucking deal. So when my grand children are born Harris I will tell them stories and when your name will come up. Yeah, you'll be remembered as the monster who fell at the hands of greatness. So strike fear into whoever you want, proclaim to be the next Pure Champion to all those who can to listen to your rants and raves. But come the 11th hour you will be nothing more than a memory of what's to come.”
“NO REGRETS…”
“NO PERKS ….”
“NO MERCY…”
“IT’S THE UNSTABLE LIFESTYLE!!!”
“IF YOU DON’T LIKE IT TOO FUCKING BAD!”
CJ spins away from the camera as his coat tails spin towards the lens. His back turns as he takes those breath taking steps away and out of our sight as the camera simply fades to black.
