WICKED#8 came to us live from the Pure Arena in Purity, and was another 'BIG' success for the company. Many are saying this is the best show so far, even beating out the Super Show. Here's some of the fall out from that show.
1) The Main Event of the night was one of the most brutal contests to date here in PAW, unfortunately ending in a double disqualification. Stevie Harris, despite the setback, still maintains that he is the rightful PAW Heavyweight Champion, and shows no sign of slowing up in his quest to claim it. Press, though still the champion, was pushed to his limits by the Madman, who used all manner of tactics to try and wrest the title from the big man. Part 2 proved to be as exciting, if not more so, than Part 1, so one can only conclude that Part 3 will be epic if it ever reaches the light of day.
2) The ongoing war between Stevie Harris and Press has now extended to that of their partners in crime, Lola and Flaming Youth, and has resulted in a big match set for WICKED#9 where the I'm With Stevie Movement will take on The BombTrax in only the second traditional tag match to take place here in PAW. This will be the first time that The BombTrax have teamed since WICKED#1, and will be the first time we've seen Stevie and Lola in a tag situation. It should be interesting to see how this will play out, as regular tag rules will apply. Although, if the ending of WICKED#8 is any indication, the officials will have a hard time containing either team.
3) John Champa, the GZW Invader, proved that security could not keep him from the building if he wanted to enter, when he, along with fellow Gloabalster, Joshua Dane, once again dropped William Saint down to the mat during The Box Office. Before their interruption, William Saint was able to sign on the dotted line, and is now an official member of the PAW roster. What will all this mean in the future if PAW Security continues to fail to protect the competitors from these outsiders?
4) Johnny Raike took home a huge win over the #1 Contender, CJ O'Donnell, in what would be O'Donnell's second loss in the company. With the results of WICKED#7 burned into people's minds, where Calvin Harris took the #1 Contender to the limit, this win by Raike could push the point that perhaps he isn't ready to be #1 contender. Especially since both Harris and Raike hold aspirations to future title opportunities.
5) Speaking of Calvin Harris, he showed up at the start of the show, interrupting the scheduled commercial break to speak out against PAW Management, and their decision not to book him on the show. His claims of being the true #1 contender have not been recognized by PAW officials, but one has to assume with his upcoming match for the Titans of the Midway Championship against Raike, that his voice will be harder to stifle if he comes away with the victory, and the title.
6) Johnny Sykes' "No Hitting Women" policy severely limited 'The Original Pranksta" in the triple threat match with Alexandra Kelly and Trixie. Despite his handicap, he still managed to put in a decent showing, but decent wasn't enough for 'The Pixie', who proved why she is one of the hottest acquisitions that PAW has made in recent weeks. Rumors already run rampant that her 'Alex Effect' submission is a much talked about maneuver in the PAW locker room, and it is one that we are sure to see more of in the future.
7) 'Hardcore' Jack Nomad, Alexandra Kelly's boyfriend, also proved himself to be an accomplished in-ring competitor against the incomparable Luke Knux. The Rock God suffers his first loss in nearly two months thanks to Nomad, who unleashed a brutality that is usually reserved for the more 'extreme' matches here in PAW. There are Rumors that Knux's extensive work schedule with The Scumbag Society and his elaborate lifestyle contributed to him not being 100%, but we seriously doubt that Jack Nomad is going to care either way. His win cements him as a real player here in PAW.
8) Muru got a surprise when D'jimon Sanders had a last minute replacement in the form of "Rock Hard" Richard Stone and....*ahem* Anaconda Pebbles. Despite having no prep time for his opponent, Muru thwarted the unique style of Stone, and prevented a heterosexual catastrophe when Stone attempted to force Anaconda Pebbles down his throat. In the end, Muru came out victorious, letting the PAW fans know that he appreciated their ovation, and that he was here to make PAW a better place. What that exactly means? We'll have to wait to find out.
9) The enigmatic gravely voice that interrupted the celebration of John Champa and Joshua Dane put the entire roster of PAW on notice that no one was safe from his judgement. The green clad figure's face could not be seen beneath his hood, but his words were clear, if not cryptic. Who was this man? What did he mean that he would no longer stand for injustice? Who failed who? Hopefully more light will be shed on this dark vigilante in the weeks to come.
10) Redrum made another reappearance, but it wasn't crazy hijinks that the deranged clown was after, but a pair of Trixie's panties. Unfortunately for him, CJ O'Donnell already had plans for the Blonde Bombshell's underoos, and he caught a nose full of itching powder for his pantie sniffing troubles. I think Youth had it right when he said, "Bad Form, clown."
WICKED#9 will be off the beaten path, taking the show to El Paso, Texas, for the first show in the companies history not to take place somewhere in Louisiana. With everything that transpired at WICKED#8, It's a safe bet that this is not a show that you will want to miss! See you in Texas!
