Singles Match
Al Envy versus Johnathan Alexander
Al Envy took a brutal beating at the hands of Jack Nomad at WICKED#9, while Johnathan Alexander helped to end one by aiding Tapioca Joe. Alexander, a ring veteran who made a huge name for himself over in Japan, is looking to make his debut in PAW after an extensive back injury kept him from the ring for several years. Al Envy, a man who wishes to see his own star rise in the company, needs a win to solidify himself after that nasty altercation with Nomad in the Fatal Four Way. Is Johnathan Alexander really fit for the ring, or is he deluding himself because of his warrior's spirit? Will Al Envy come out with even more steam due to his recent loss, or will he flounder because of it? We'll have to wait and see, as WICKED#10 comes to us live from Purity, LA.
Singles Match
Airborne versus Julian Justice
It's the debut of two new superstars here in Pure Amusement Wrestling, and what better way to test their metal than have them go one on one with each other. Airborne has been thrilling crowds in Mexico for some time, but is relatively unknown in his home country. A fact that he wishes to change during his time here in PAW. With a high flying style, and being an acrobatic extraordinaire, we're almost guaranteed for this to be a fast paced thrill ride appropriate for the Pure Arena. On the other side of the docket is another relatively unknown in Julian Justice. Justice came across the PAW radar because of his Academy Wrestling prowess, but a mystery hangs around the man from El Paso, Texas that will hopefully come to light when he steps foot into the ring, for the very first time, right here in PAW. With this many unknowns and variables, this match is anyone's guess. All we know for sure is that both these superstars need to secure victory if anyone in PAW is to take them seriously.
Trixie versus Kelsey Spencer
At WICKED#9, Trixie's problems continued to compound with a severe leg injury thanks to the brutal tactics of 'Hardcore' Jack Nomad during the phenomenal Fatal Four Way that kicked off the show. Kelsey Spencer, also a participant in that match, met much the same fate as Trixie, except to everyone's surprise, was able to turn it into a positive by using veteran like ring positioning and wise tactics to pull out the victory. Jack Nomad was livid after the match, and tried to cause even further chaos, but the fans of PAW saved Spencer, while security cut him off from doing further damage to Trixie. Spencer claims that it was Trixie's influence that drew her to PAW in the first place, spurring her to binge watch the DVD's of past events. Well now, Trixie's biggest fan meets the real deal in the center of the ring to find out which is more popular, good old fashioned morals, or uninhibited sex appeal.
Singles Match
Alex Blake versus (Unknown)
Alex Blake and Dick Reynolds made their debut on PAW Television back at WICKED#8, surprising everyone when they came down to ringside and took up guest commentary during the Johnny Raike versus CJ O'Donnell match. There had been rumors for some time that PAW Management had no interest in signing Alex Blake, and there was even rumors that Lady Munin had put an effective ban on Blake making any appearances what-so-ever. So if their mere presence as announcers wasn't shocking enough, now there has been an open challenge made by Dick Reynold's on the behalf of Alex Blake, stating that he will take on anyone, anywhere, anytime. Alex Blake showed up backstage at WICKED#9, even though he wasn't scheduled for any duties, and found time to work out in front of the cameras, and let everyone know that he was still in prime condition. Who will answer this open challenge, and what does Alex Blake hope to prove by issuing it? We'll only get those answers on WICKED#10!
The Box Office
Hosted by Cross Recoba
Contract Signing: Press & CJ O'Donnell
The match was announced after WICKED#9 in a Breaking News segment on the PAW Website. The #1 Contender, CJ O'Donnell will take on the PAW Heavyweight Champion, Press, on June 9th at WICKED's premiere summer event, Heat Stroke, live from the Pure Arena in Purity, LA. Until then, however, nothing is official until both participants sign on the dotted line and agree to terms, and that's exactly what we hope to accomplish at The Box Office. Cross Recoba's persistent campaign against Press as the PAW Champion is well documented, offering up $50,000 of his own cash if someone would knock the behemoth from the proverbial mountain. With Press agreeing to this public contract signing on The Box Office, one has to wonder if he won't be coming face to face with two potential threats in O'Donnell and Recoba. With the events of WICKED#9 still fresh in our minds, the tension continues to grow between the #1 Contender and The Champion. First, in promo comments, second, with continued unscheduled encounters, and perhaps the most volatile of all, the growing animosity between O'Donnell and Press' tag partner, Flaming Youth. O'Donnell hasn't been without his own problems, taking losses to both Calvin Harris and Johnny Raike, who have argued the legitimacy of CJ's claim at being the #1 Contender. Regardless, that's exactly what he is, and after The Box Office, the match will be signed, sealed, and delivered on June 9th at Heat Stroke.
Tag Match
William Saint & Tapioca Joe versus Alexandra Kelly & Jack Nomad
Tapioca Joe suffered the most recent attack by the GZW invading force, and things would have been much worse if it hadn't been for the interference of Johnathan Alexander. This match, could spell huge trouble for TAP, as it was told on WICKED#9 that there was a dispute over William Saint's contract, essentially meaning that he might not have a partner. That would be unfortunate for the PAW universe, but even more so for Tap personally, as he is set to step into the ring with two PAW Superstars who have been on a tear as of late. Jack Nomad was all over WICKED#9. First, in the Fatal Four Way which saw The Hardcore One bring a level of destruction to the ring the likes that has only been seen in Main Events thus far, and second, with a brutal attack on Luke Knux, which is rumored is the reason why the Rock God isn't scheduled for WICKED#10. Even though he technically didn't win the four way, after he was done, none of the other three participants looked much like winners. His girlfriend, 'The Pixie', picked up her second win in PAW over the enigmatic Muru, putting her as undefeated in the PAW Universe. These two have been ruthless in their separate matches, so one can only imagine that the violence will only be escalated when the two are together. For Tapioca Joe's sake, we hope that William Saint will be allowed to compete, because otherwise, this could be a blood bath.
Singles Match
Johnny Sykes versus Johnny Raike
Johnny Sykes enjoyed a cotton candy with Alexandra Kelly, much to the surprise of the PAW Universe. It's obvious at this point that Sykes hasn't realized that looming in the corner of 'The Pixie' is one 'Hardcore' Jack Nomad, and after what everyone saw on WICKED#9, might not be the corner you'd want to find yourself in. His boyish charm may have found him a reprieve with Trixie, but it's unclear what it will gain him with Johnny Raike, as The Most Liberated Man In Wrestling is going into battle for the first time without the Titans of the Midway Championship. That title was taken by Calvin Harris, in what most of the PAW Universe called an upset, if for no other reason than they hate Harris so much. But no one could deny that the match was one for the ages, as both men put body and career on the line for the Pure Amusement of the PAW fans. One has to speculate, however, what type of Johnny Raike are we going to see coming to the ring? A brooding former champion, the enigmatic fuckboi, or the cheerful ray of sunshine that the Titans of the Midway Championship seemed to bring him. Either way, a Main Event match up with 'The Original Pranksta' may just do the trick to help Johnny through this rough transition, or it might only add to his disappointment after the loss. Either way, it should be an awesome showing for both men, that is....if Johnny Sykes remembers to show up!
