WICKED - DVD Taping #12 - Heat Stroke

Sixteen Men and Women come together for one night only, and duke it out in an over the top rope elimination style Battle Royal that will determine the #1 Contender for the Titans of the Midway Championship.  It's safe to say that this is bound to be an exciting affair as we see the in ring debuts of The French Mime Assassins, Bryan Williams, and Nova Wonder, along with twelve more eager PAW Superstars who are chomping at the bit to destroy one another for position.  The winner of this match will not only be able to claim that #1 Contendership, but can honestly say, they outlasted almost the entire PAW Roster.  Talk about bragging rights!

The first time that Luke Knux and Jack Nomad met was in the Hardcore One's debut back at WICKED#8.  Jack signaled that he meant business by devastating the Rock God with several vicious knee's to the face that subsequently broke Luke's nose.  This also saw the end of a winning streak that Luke had been on since as far back as WICKED#5, putting a sour mood to go along with his shattered nose.  While Jack prepared himself for WICKED#9, Luke prepared himself in the studio with the Scumbag Society, where he wrote the hit single, 'Fuck Jack Nomad', which he later performed on The Box Office.  This provoked a violent response from Nomad, who drove Luke face first into a concrete wall, causing further damage to the already injured nose.  This also left Luke off the card for WICKED#10, but the Rock God didn't let that stop him from getting some measure of retribution, when he cracked Nomad over the head with a sand filled guitar.  Things escalated last show, when Luke Knux .......  Well, now they have that chance, as we see a bitter rematch between The Rock God and The Hardcore One.  Will this finally settle the score, or be just another key on the scale?

The Titans of the Midway Championship.  A title born from the blood and guts of the Midway, where anything can, and will happen.  A tittle that craves an ultraviolent lifestyle, and won't find itself upon the waist of any who aren't willing to feed it.  There have only been two men in this titles short history who have claimed the right to say they have what it takes.  Only two Titans who have stepped forward to give themselves over to the violence, the sacrifices of being this type of Champion.  Johnny Raike and Calvin Harris will have already met once tonight, and the winner or that meeting will determine the stipulations for this encounter, but this time, the Titans of the Midway Championship will be on the line, as these two warriors continue on their pathway through hell.  

This match has been brewing since The St. Patrick's Day Super Show, when John Champa first appeared on PAW programming to speak out against the promotion and it's owner, Lady Munin.  Subsequently, it was also the first appearance of William Saint, GZW's resident Mongrel, who actually came to the defense of Pure Amusement Wrestling and the Lady.  This left him down on the canvas after a vicious sucker punch by Champa, who in the past few weeks has continued to make his presence known alongside fellow Globalster's Joshua Dane, Red Dragon, and GZW Commentator Josh Samson.  It wasn't until the involvement of Tapioca Joe and Johnathan Alexander that the playing field began to level out for PAW, and now they will be joining William Saint to represent PAW, while John Champa, Red Dragon, and Shane Lawrence represent GZW2K1.  One of the clear advantages for GZW is the fact that their mission has been clear from the beginning, with ample bodies to fill the gaps if these three tarry.  This being only the second Interfed Event here in PAW, and because of her close involvement with both parties, Lady Munin has decided that she will take this match on personally as the Special Guest Referee.  With an invading force, a group of resistors, and the leader of the company and cause for the controversy, what could go wrong?

Since becoming the #1 Contender back at the St. Patrick's Day Super Show, some could argue that CJ O'Donnell has had a target painted on his back larger than the champions.  He's had run in's with everyone from Stevie Harris, to Johnny Raike, and even Calvin Harris, over who it is that can really claim to be the next challenger for Press' PAW Heavyweight Championship.  Finally, on the eave of the biggest event in PAW's fledgling history, CJ O'Donnell will get his chance to do battle for the title, and more importantly, put all nay-sayers to rest.  Press, the first ever champion, has not only had to watch as these men clamor for his title, but has consistently put down the Madman, Stevie Harris, who has nipped at his heels ever since losing in the finals of the Championship Tournament.  Stevie Harris is no longer a factor, as he was released from the company after the events of WICKED#10, leaving Press to deal with yet another road block poised to take out his reign.  Will 'The Distinguished' do what he does best, and remind everyone in PAW of his Unstable roots, or will Press, once again, show everyone why he is one of the most dangerous men in this sport?  The heat going into this match is overwhelming, and when all is said and done, one of these men could very well be stretchered out of the arena like a stroke victim.  We'll just have to find out, when PAW puts it all on the line in this epic encounter.
