Trained By: Elijah & Noah Miller [cousins]
Character Biography: Ava Miller is a young woman that grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her entire life she was described as a tom boy. She was into superheroes, ninja turtles, video games, and most importantly into professional wrestling. When she was at the young age of 17. She discovered that her older cousins Noah and Elijah were professional wrestlers out in California. After begging her parents who had always wanted her to be a "normal" girl. They finally agreed to go let her live out one of her dreams with the belief she'd find out that it was too hard and lead to her coming back home. Turns out they were wrong.
She fell in love with the wrestling business. Every bruise she got from training she was proud of. She loved being tossed around the ring like a rag doll. Every time Ava got knocked down. She got right back up. On top of that Ava proved to be a natural in the ring. Literally soaking up every last bit of knowledge she could. It only took her once being shown a move before she picked it up. By the time that she was 18. Ava was starting to wrestle in small promotions around the California area. She was loving every bit of it. Then in 2015, she got a chance to take her career further.
Career History: In the summer of 2015, Ava signed with a promotion based out of Cincinnati, Ohio known as FFP. She was assigned to work for their developmental program OWF with her cousins: Noah and Elija. Ava made the most of her time in OWF. In the beginning it was hard because she felt like she was taking a step back by being forced to do training throughout the week before getting the chance to wrestle on shows during the weekend. However she slowly became one of the fastest rising and most popular females on the OWF roster. Eventually landing her in a spot where she was competing for the OWF Women's Championship.
On November 16th, 2015: Ava became the OWF Women's Champion. Little did she know and little did everyone else know that this was going to be the start of a very impressive and historic run. Months and months went by where Ava proved that she was a fighting champion. However in December her cousins Noah and Elijah got in a confrontation with the owner of FFP. (A man who truly believes he's something special and like he's god's gift to wrestler). This lead to Noah and Elijah quitting the company leaving Ava on her own. Something she wasn't too fond of. Not to mention the backlash of her cousins quitting fell back on her.
That's when OWF Owner, Beatrice Keenan began to take out her frustrations on Ava for what her cousins had done. She started to treat Ava poorly, started to place her in unpredictable situations, and tried everything she could to screw Ava out of the championship she worked so hard for. This is where Ava started to come out of her shell and started to fight back. Refusing to give in. She made it clear she'd walk out of OWF if it continued. She did nothing wrong and therefore she wouldn't be putting up with it from anyone. Not even someone that was considered her boss.
After 54 days of being champion (the longest reigning) Beatrice finally managed to screw Ava out of the championship by placing her in a 3 on 1 gauntlet match where she didn't know who her opponents would be. In the end Ava was defeated by Erin Spencer thanks to the help of Beatrice. Then on January 11th, Ava announced that she was leaving OWF. Something that shocked a lot of people considering there were several that didn't think she'd do it. From there Ava decided to head to Japan and work for a country that truly respected the art of Professional Wrestling.
Gimmick: (An explanation of your character's persona. How do they act in the ring? What sets them apart from the generic grappler? Be as descriptive as possible.)
Entrance Music: "Come Down With Love" - Allstar Weekend
Entrance Description: Inside of the arena the fans sat on the edge of their seats patiently waiting for the next bit of action to take place. That being said the arena lights started to dim down some. Only for baby blue and light pink strobe lights to begin flashing all around. In that exact same moment "Come Down With Love" by Allstar Weekend found itself playing over the arena's speakers. This was getting a reaction out of the crowd. Cheers were starting to be heard along with the excitement from those in attendance. It was like they couldn't wait for the person to make their way out.
After a couple of brief moments the curtain was seen being pushed aside as Ava came rushing out onto the stage. Smack dab in the middle of it to be exact. She threw her arms up into the air with a big smile on her face. Just seeing her got the reaction of the crowd to become more intensified. By that smile on the young woman's lips it would have appeared she was enjoying the love that she was getting from the crowd. Slowly lowering her arms and nodding to give the crowd their acknowledgement for their cheers. Ava began to skip herself down to ramp to the ring.
RING ANNOUNCER: "Making her way to the ring at this time. Hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota and weighing in at one hundred and fifteen pounds. "Da Bomb Dot Com" ... AVA!"
On her way down the ramp Ava made her way from one side of the ramp to the other. She slapped hands with many of the fans that had them extended out towards her direction. When she reached the ring side area Ava made a short dash towards the ring and leaped up onto the apron spinning to the side using her knee. She reached out grabbing the middle rope and pulled herself to her feet on the apron still all smiles. She found herself then placing one leg over the bottom rope and then ducking down under the middle rope to get herself into the ring and before her adoring crowd.
Now the mixture of blue and pink strobe lights had shined down directly in the ring on her. Placing Ava in the spotlight for the lack of a better term. The lights followed her as she made her way to the nearest corner. She leaped up onto the second rung of the corner and then raised her hands into the air quickly once more to taunt the crowd. Getting a very big eruption of cheers from those in attendance. In lowering her hands Ava turned and jumped down. This lead to the spotlight disappearing, the lights going back to their normal state, and her music starting to die down. It was time to get to business.

❥ CHASE YOUR DREAMS
** flashback **
I found myself standing at the top of the stairs of the home I shared with my parents. I kind of rocked back and forth on the balls of my feet. All day long I had been thinking about how on earth I was going to tell my parents that I wanted to chase a dream of mine. Specifically the dream of being a professional wrestler. I had two older cousins that were starting to make a name for themselves out in California. I was more than sure they’d be willing to take me under their wing and teach me the ropes. At the same time though I also knew that my parents wanted me to live life as a “normal” girl for the lack of a better term. I didn’t think they’d ever be okay with a situation where I could find myself getting seriously hurt. In the same token I couldn’t rob myself of the opportunity of something that I wanted to do. I was going to tell them and hope that they were going to be supportive of my decision.
With shaky legs I stepped down from the top of the steps and my feet hitting the first step down. I was so nervous that I felt like I was going to fall out. Grabbing a hold of the banister to help me out. Using it for support I made my way down the steps, slowly but surely. Until both of my feet finally hit the bottom of the steps. Now I knew that every afternoon my father would hang out in the den and watch some television. However I didn’t feel like he was the best one to go to. Not to start this off. My mother was the parent I was “closer” so to speak. I knew where I could find her. Slowly making my way into the kitchen unnoticed. My mother was big on home cooked meals for her family. So of course her back was turned to me and she was in the process of getting things ready for dinner. When she turned around she saw me kind of standing there. Smiling in my direction before moving on to grab some things that she needed.
I found myself clearing my throat at that moment in order to gain the attention of my mother. Course before she even had a chance to turn around or speak to me. I spoke up to her.
❥ DA BOMB DOT COM \\ A V A
Mom. Can I tell you something?
She had turned around at that moment with some spices in her hand that she had pulled down from the shelf in our kitchen. That smile was still spread across her lips as she spoke right back.
❥ MOTHER HEN \\ A P R I L
Of course sweetheart. You can tell me anything you want. What’s on your mind?
❥ DA BOMB DOT COM \\ A V A
Ok... but uhm... you might want to sit down for this.
❥ MOTHER HEN \\ A P R I L
Sit down? Oh goodness! Please tell me you aren’t pregnant Ava!
❥ DA BOMB DOT COM \\ A V A
Oh my gosh Mom! No it is nothing like that. Boys don’t even like me!
I could not believe what I had just heard. It was shocking and a little insulting. I would hope that my mother would of had a little more faith in me than that. Guess it might have kind of been my own fault she thought the worst. I was coming to her randomly and I did sound pretty serious. Then again it was a pretty serious situation. Not nearly as serious as being pregnant though. I watched as my mother pulled out one of the bar stool we had at the island in the middle of the kitchen. She sat herself down getting herself comfortable before settling her gaze back on me.
❥ MOTHER HEN \\ A P R I L
Alright I’m sitting. What’s going on?
❥ DA BOMB DOT COM \\ A V A
So you remember Elijah and Noah?
❥ MOTHER HEN \\ A P R I L
How could I forget about your father’s sister’s kids? What about them?
❥ DA BOMB DOT COM \\ A V A
Well um... they are out there in California right? ... And um... they’ve kind of start to become a big deal from this thing called ... professional wrestling?
❥ MOTHER HEN \\ A P R I L
Ah yes. I remember hearing about that at our last family reunion. Such a violent sport to get into. I don’t care if it’s fake or not. It still looks like it hurts.
❥ DA BOMB DOT COM \\ A V A
Yeah... it does...
Based off her response. I was starting to question whether or not I should tell her. I was just going over in my head what her reaction was going to be. Though before I could back out or get to into my head. My mother’s voice brought me back to reality.
❥ MOTHER HEN \\ A P R I L
So, what about it?
❥ DA BOMB DOT COM \\ A V A
... You know I like wrestling right?
❥ MOTHER HEN \\ A P R I L
You do? Since when Ava?
❥ DA BOMB DOT COM \\ A V A
Since ... like ... a couple years now.
❥ MOTHER HEN \\ A P R I L
Oh... I had no idea.
❥ DA BOMB DOT COM \\ A V A
I know. I’ve kind of kept it hidden. I’d watch it at a friends house or something. I didn’t want you and Dad to know.
❥ MOTHER HEN \\ A P R I L
Well, why on earth wouldn’t you want us to know that? Are you ashamed of it or something?
❥ DA BOMB DOT COM \\ A V A
No... no... I’m not ashamed... it’s just that... well... uhm... I didn’t think your or dad would approve.
I could feel my heartbeat start to increase. I was starting to shake a little. I was that nervous to tell my parents that I wanted to be a wrestler. I could feel my mother’s eyes on me. She looked at me like she was trying to figure out exactly what I meant by my statement. Then what I had been dreading happened. She just had to ask.
❥ MOTHER HEN \\ A P R I L
Why wouldn’t we approve? It’s just some TV show. It’s no different than a soap approach. As long as you don’t go thinking the stuff they do is a hundred percent real and get yourself hurt. We don’t mind you watch it.
❥ DA BOMB DOT COM \\ A V A
That’s the thing mom. I want to be a wrestler. I don’t want to be like all the other girls that are into makeup and cheerleading. I want to be in the ring with the guys. I want to kick butt like the guys. I want to be one of the best women’s wrestlers to ever exist!
I just blurted everything out. That’s not how I wanted it to come out. Not by a long shot but my words were kind of like vomit. Once it started to happen. I couldn’t hold back. I couldn’t stop myself. I looked at the expression on my mother’s face. Seemed almost kind of shocked by my statement. She was able to collect herself and look me right in my eyes.
❥ MOTHER HEN \\ A P R I L
Ava dear... that’s no place for you. You could get hurt. Really hurt. Like to the point you’re paralyzed.
❥ DA BOMB DOT COM \\ A V A
I am aware of the risks mom. I know there’s a chance I could come down on my head wrong, come down on my neck wrong, and be in a wheelchair the rest of my life. I get that but that’s a risk I am willing to take.
❥ MOTHER HEN \\ A P R I L
But why Ava? Why would you want to take such an extreme risk?
❥ DA BOMB DOT COM \\ A V A
I don’t expect you to get it, because you don’t watch. However for me it’s seeing the crowd reaction. They react to everything the wrestlers do in the ring. They love it. They appreciate it. They respect it. I want to get that kind of reaction from people. I want something that I do to matter. For it be loved, appreciated, and respected. I want to bring smiles to their faces! I want my name chanted and screamed for in an arena completely sold out!
❥ MOTHER HEN \\ A P R I L
Wow. I don’t know what to say? I never knew you felt so passionately about this.
❥ DA BOMB DOT COM \\ A V A
I do and it’s something I want to try my hand at. I really think I can make my dream come true. I just have to go out and try. I already spoke to Noah and Elijah. They said they’d help me train. They’d look after me.
❥ MOTHER HEN \\ A P R I L
I don’t know about all this Ava. That’s such a big risk. You’re in the middle of your senior year. There’s so much that could go wrong.
That’s exactly what I had expected to come from her. Instantly I felt my beating heart start to slowly be ripped out of my chest. I was so passionate about something. So driven by something. So focused by something. Then it seemed like it was being ripped out from under me.
❥ MOTHER HEN \\ A P R I L
I can tell you right now though. This isn’t going to be easy to get your father to agree with.
Hearing those words had completely caught me off guard. Though it did force me to look up at her.
❥ DA BOMB DOT COM \\ A V A
What?
❥ MOTHER HEN \\ A P R I L
You know that you're daddy’s little girl. He’s not going to be alright with you possibly getting hurt. He doesn’t even like it when you scrape your knee or get a bruise from P.E and you’re a seventeen year old young woman. Yet if it means this much to you Ava. Then I’m going to do what I can to get him to support you. Because I support you.
I was overcome with emotion at that moment. To hear that I was more or less getting the green light to chase down my dream. It was such an amazing thing to hear. I rushed forward wrapping my tiny arms around my mother’s waist and squeezed. I felt her hands press against my back as she did her best to hug me back.
❥ DA BOMB DOT COM \\ A V A
Thank you so much! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
❥ MOTHER HEN \\ A P R I L
You’re welcome baby, but I have to be honest. My expectations aren’t very high. I expect you to find out just how hard it is and come back home. But as a mother I support you trying to chase your dream.
❥ DA BOMB DOT COM \\ A V A
That’s fine. If I fail. Then I fail, but I have to try and having your support in trying is all I want. It means the world to me!
❥ MOTHER HEN \\ A P R I L
Anything for my little girl. However let’s go talk to your father and see if we can’t convince him to jump onboard. I got a feeling I am going to end up having to order pizza instead of cooking. Long night ahead of us.
My mother’s chuckle brought a smile to my lips. I wouldn’t lie to myself going and talking to my father was scary. It was really scary, but I had her support. I had already won half the battle or half the water depending on how you looked at it. I felt my mother’s arm wrap around my shoulders and start to lead me out of the living room. I didn’t know what he was going to say. I didn’t know what was going to happen next. All I knew was I was one step closer to chasing a dream that I have had now for a couple of years. The challenge was going to be tough, but I was someone that didn’t back down. I was someone that didn’t quit. I looked my challenges in the face and did whatever I could to overcome them. This time would be no different.
❥ STEAL THE SHOW
** present day **
Only a few hours ago I finished having one of my toughest matches to date. Here I was a twenty year old - going on twenty one year old and I had picked up such steam as a professional wrestler I was wrestling in countries like Japan. A country that legitimately viewed professional wrestling as a sport. Not only that but they worshiped the sport like it was truly something great. I saw it as great. So did those that I wrestled with. Yet for the most part wrestling never got the attention or the respect it deserved. So it was good to be wrestling in a country that supported it. I was beat up from head to toe. I was sore. I had a big bruise across my chest where I had been chopped so hard I almost passed out. Though I was standing in the mirror of my hotel room smiling from ear to ear. I simply loved what I did. Sure the victory I got tonight was nice, but the love I had for professional wrestling is what meant the most to me.
Standing there in the mirror it began to dawn on me that tonight was going to be my last night in Japan. At least for a little while anyway. Reason being is towards the end of March, I had signed a deal to be part of TOTAL HONOUR WRESTLING which was primary out in England. I was looking forward to working there for a couple different reasons. First and foremost being it was a new company. New people and new challenges that awaited me. Second reason being that I would get the chance to wrestle in England. Something that I had never done before. And the third as well as final reason I was pumped was because this was the first company I had signed with since I left OWF towards the end of 2015. I didn’t like how things ended with the company or how I was treated so truth be told I was really hoping to turn things around. I wanted to erase that bad taste in my mouth and to make something more out of myself as well as out of my career.
When it dawned on me just how close that date was coming. I rushed from where I was standing in the mirror and leaped onto my hotel bed. Landing on it and bouncing over towards the side. Nearly completely off the bed. I was able to catch myself by grabbing the table. I leaned over just long enough to grab a hold of my laptop. I pulled it up, put it on my bed, and opened it up. Once the computer lit up I was quick to bring up the build in video camera within the computer. I knew I looked like a hot mess but I wanted to send a special little message to all of those in THW. Hitting the record button. I lit my face up with a big smile.
❥ DA BOMB DOT COM \\ A V A
Hello friends on twitter and the interwebz. I’m coming to you tonight because I have a very special message to deliver. For those who are not aware back at the end of March. I signed my name to a contract to start working with Total Honour Wrestling. A young upstart company out there in England. In agreeing to work there. I just had one goal in mind. I wanted to bounce back from the time that I spent with a company by the name of OWF. I wanted to bounce back. I wanted to reinvent myself. I wanted to take my career to a different height and take on new challenges. That was the only goal. But then I find out not long after signing I’ll be having my first match. Not only will I be having my first match but I’ll be involved in the Total Honour Series which is going to help the company crown their first ever Total Honour Champion.
I don’t think I could put into words how I felt when I found that out. That was something that shocked me. At the same time it was something that really meant alot to me. I had never expected anything out of me signing a deal with THW. Nothing aside from my own expectations and now I found myself in this situation. Something that I did intend on making the most out of. When given an opportunity. You never let it slip through your fingers because you never know when another one might come along.
❥ DA BOMB DOT COM \\ A V A
Wow, just wow. That’s all I thought when I found that out. I had never really expected myself to ever become a champion. I was just a girl that wanted to be the best professional wrestler that I could. I never planned to win championships or to have accolades. All I planned to do was go out to the ring, lay it all on the line, and to try to put on the best match of the night. Sometimes that happened. Sometimes it didn’t happen. I never gave up on my dream. I kept trying and that eventually lead to me winning a championship in OWF. Now as jaded as I am from my time there. As much as I hate how things ended. I am thankful of that one accomplishment. I hold that near and dear to my heart. I never saw myself winning another championship, but now THW is now putting me in a position where it could happen if I’m good enough to win out with these series. Now don’t get me wrong I am not going to flat out say I’m going to win.
Oh no. That’s not what I am going to say at all. Just know that I am going to try my best and do whatever I can as long as I am apart of the Total Honour Series. Speaking of that series it’s going to be starting out on Monday Night when I find myself stepping into a THW ring for the very first time. Not only will I be in the ring for the company for the very first time. I’m also climbing into the ring with someone I’ve never faced before either. I’ll be up against a Mr. Koji Takada. A man that’s from the great country of Japan. The same country I’m in right now and just had one of my best matches in. I can just sense that Koji knows all about this sport and respects it just like all his other people from this great country respect it. Based on that, based on our love for the support, and based on the pressure we put on ourselves to have a great match. I know and I believe that we’re going to end up tearing the house down when we get in the ring with each other.
That was something that I was really looking forward to. Not very often did you find someone that you just completely gel with a hundred percent and where you can tear down the roof. I was really banking on that being the case with Koji and I. There was no proof that was going to happen. It was like everyone else going into that match. It was taking a giant risk and seeing where it ended up going. But until I got in the ring and found out otherwise. That was the hope I was going to continue to hold onto.
❥ DA BOMB DOT COM \\ A V A
Koji, we both need to go into this match with the mindset of it’s us against the world. People are going to expect Nicole Evans versus Angel to steal the show because it’s the main event. People are going to expect Calvin Harris to shine brightly because he’s a “superstar” in this business. They are going to expect Tyson Tru and Saul Maverick to be the most physical match of the night. They are going to expect Vic Cappotelli to wow the crowd in one form or another because of his quick wit and the fact he’s just downright a smartbutt. Everyone is going to be sleeping on us. Everyone isn’t going to be expecting much out of us. Everyone is going to think we’re just there to be there. This is why we have to change everyone’s minds and steal the show. That is my challenge to you. Whether or not you accept it is up to you, but just know that’s what my mentality is when I show up.
I ended the video with a wave to the recording cameras before clicking on the button to stop recording. I wasted no time at all clicking save right after. I was going to put it on my twitter first thing in the morning. For now though I shut the laptop and then put it back down on the floor. I knew that I had to get some sleep. It was going to be an early morning for me. I was going to have to check out, get to the airport, and begin a very long flight to England. There life of a professional wrestler was without a doubt tiring and it could be stressful. At the same time it was the most rewarding thing I had ever done in my twenty years of life. I also had a pretty good feeling that it would turn out to be the most rewarding thing I would ever do with my life. If that turned out to be the case. I’d be pretty darn happy. As I settled in and hoped to fall asleep quickly. I couldn’t help but think of the future and what my career was going to be heading next.
