Tag Match
Tapioca Joe & Jonathan Alexander (W/William Saint) versus Ava & Johnny Sykes
Heat Stroke saw the PAW Team of Tapioca Joe, Jonathan Alexander, and William Saint win their match against GZW's John Champa, Red Dragon, and Shane Lawrence by disqualification. When the going got tough for the GZW faithful, they turned to underhanded tactics and foreign weapons, and before the night was through, even attacked Lady Munin herself. The Shadow made an appearance to save the day, running GZW out of the ring, only to be branded by PAW who were uncertain of his intentions. At the end of the day, GZW remains a thorn in PAW's side, and not a lot was settled in the Six Man Tag, other than the fact that GZW proved they will do anything to get their property back. Ava performed admirably in the Sixteen Man Battle Royal, but in the end was shown the concrete floor courtesy of The Pixie. Johnny Sykes was entertaining as ever, finding innovative ways of staying in the match, which included an announce members chair, and playing hop scotch off the backs of the Enhancement Talent. In the end, however, he couldn't save himself from a springboard Pele Kick by Nova Wonder, and found himself eliminated from the match. With the sudden surface of a tag division in PAW, Ji was tasked by Lady Munin in putting together singles competitors that would hopefully match well together. Thus, the team of Ava and Johnny Sykes have been selected for a trial run. We'll see what this new team can do against a team of old pals who, as of late, have been working together to stand in the way of GZW's Invasion. It should be interesting, especially knowing that GZW will probably be in the building, and could play a factor. We'll just have to wait and find out.
Singles Match
Lex Collins versus Aokigahara Zombie
It's the debut of two new Superstars to the PAW Universe, and already a lot of speculation surrounds this match. Both men have earned their reputations in the world of Professional Wrestling, with Lex Collins having a storied career dating all the way back to 2003, and including major title runs in PCW, SVW, and most recently in Sin City Wrestling. Equally impressive is Zombie, who has a reputation in the business for being a bit of a wild card. Highly unpredictable, and to some, completely reckless, Zombie brings a smash mouth style that have left many competitors laid out on the canvas. Both men made the decision to enter PAW for varying reasons at a crucial time in their careers, as both are looking to garner respect and opportunities. This match is important, as it may very well set the stage for what is to come for either of them in the future.
Singles Match
Roy Baker versus Annabel Lee
Singles Match
Nova Wonder versus Strick Plissken
Roy Baker versus Annabel Lee
Roy Baker had an impressive showing in the Sixteen Man Battle Royal at Heat Stroke, but unfortunately for The Prince, his momentum was cut short by The French Mime Assassins. He now has an opportunity to get back in the ring, and take on the new comer, Annabel Lee, in her debut match here in PAW. Annabel Lee has a reputation to live up to, being trained by her father, and also having never been put in front of a live crowd. It should be interesting to see how this 'greenhorn' fares against a seasoned superstar like Roy Baker, especially with Roy out to prove that he is the next big thing here in PAW. Will this New Recruit score what would have to be seen as an upset, or will Roy Baker take her to school, and teach her the hard knocks of the sport. We'll have to find out at WICKED#13!
Singles Match
Nova Wonder versus Strick Plissken
Nova Wonder took the PAW Universe by storm by not only entering the Sixteen Man Battle Royal, but by winning it. She is now the New #1 Contender to the Titans of the Midway Championship, and in only her first match! That being said, she isn't just sitting back and waiting for her opportunity to come, but is more than willing to come to work and show off her skills. Not a lot is known about Strick Plissken, as he seemed to materialize out of nowhere with a PAW contract in hand. This has a great deal to do with his representation, Tony Chu, Agent to the Stars, who worked out a deal with Lady Munin to get his fledgling client a spot on the roster. In an unbelievable move, Tony Chu was able to place some stipulations in their contract that allowed them to pick and choose a few names off the roster that Strick would ply his trade to. One such name was Nova Wonder, which couldn't come at a more fortuitous time for Mr. Plissken, considering the standing she earned in the Battle Royal. Will Nova Wonder take this newbie and put him in his place, or will Strick Plissken do the same as she, and take over the joint. Only time will tell, as WICKED#13 comes to us in two weeks.
THE BOX OFFICE
Hosted by Cross Recoba
Special Guest: Calvin Harris
Calvin Harris went into Heat Stroke with an agenda, and although he did lose his Titans of the Midway Championship in the process, that agenda was still achieved. Calvin Harris is the new #1 Contender to the PAW Heavyweight Championship currently held by Press. But he had to go through Three Stages of Hell with Johnny Raike to earn it, leaving him unfit for active competition on this episode of WICKED. So instead, the authorities that be, are going to do a very dangerous thing. They are going to give Calvin Harris an allotted time slot on The Box Office with a Live Mic, allowing him to say anything he wants to say. Can anyone say Pipe Bomb? Cross Recoba saw the opportunity, and seized it the minute it became available, making this Box Office what will probably be the most controversial to date. Join us on June 23rd when WICKED#13 invades the Houma Terrabonne Civic Center to find out what the Martyr of Wrestling has in store for us.
The Original Carnies (Nirvana & Redrum) versus The French Mime Assassins
These four superstars went into the Sixteen Man Battle Royal at Heat Stroke without ever really having been in the ring with one another, and somehow came out of it as bitter enemies. Matter of fact, it was a shock to see Redrum come to the aide of Papa Nurvy, considering it was the Midnight King who eliminated him earlier in the contest, but we're glad he did, because now we have the tag match of a lifetime. Little is known of The French Mime Assassins, other than they are heralded by the infamous 'Double F. C', Francis Ford Cuppola, who in recent weeks has been trying to turn PAW into his own personal movie set. Despite that fact, it was made clear in the Battle Royal that these two Mime's came to fight, and were instrumental in the elimination of Nirvana, along with themselves, from the match. Nirvana, the Strike Towers Wrestling owner, has always been adamant about missing the old school ways of wrestling, when he and his bear traveled the carnie circuits, bringing delight to anyone who paid for a ticket. Add in a deranged clown, and this new alliance has formed a throw back appropriately dubbed 'The Original Carnies'. This match is sure to please even the most nostalgic of fans, as the boys are back in town for one fine bru-ha-ha!
Singles Match
(Non-Title)
Jack Nomad versus Johnny Raike
Johnny Raike put on the performance of a lifetime at Heat Stroke, winning back his Titans of the Midway Championship, but ultimately losing the Three Stages of Hell Match to Calvin Harris. Despite the fact, Johnny Raike left the arena that night to a standing ovation, and more than a fair share of lumps and bruises from the encounter. It was a shock to everyone when Johnny agreed to be on the show, all in attendance sure that he wouldn't be cleared to wrestle after the brutal encounter, but Johnny Raike is nothing if not a consistant professional, and he refused to deny the fans that stood so firmly behind him the chance to see him on the grand stage again. Jack Nomad equally had a busy night at Heat Stroke, putting the final nail in the coffin on his feud with Luke Knux, that ended with his girlfriend putting her cleats in uncomfortable areas of the Knux Man's body. He then sought out the enigmatic Shadow, beating the man to a bloody pulp, or so he thought, it later being revealed that it was one of The Shadow's flunkies. We hear that when he saw the footage he was more than a little annoyed, so we're pretty sure that won't be the end of their confrontations by a long shot. With both men coming into the match with their own frustrations, one can only wonder what kind of match we will see between the two. Raike has always been known to be the Rebound King when it comes to moving past a setback, while Nomad has been on a tear in PAW that can only be compared to Stevie Harris. Things are likely to implode, as these two go head to head, live in Houma, LA!
