MAGICAL ENDINGS DON'T HAPPEN SOMETIMES...
Ever since day one. Ever since she laced up a pair of her very first wrestling boots. Ever since she had her very first match, her very first win and the very first time she felt the adrenaline course through her veins.
She saw herself destined for greatness.
She legitimately saw herself as someone who was on top of the world; someone who was going to take the professional wrestling world by storm, no matter how far fetched it sounded. When Caroline finally got her big break, the young Aussie thought that her time had come to ascend to her rightful place on the throne known as Glory. In her mind, no one could best her. Nothing could stop her or hold her down. Encased in her own little bubble where everything revolved around her, Caroline thought full-heartedly that she was going to be the alpha of the industry.
But that vision of ascension never came into fruition.
And so, Caroline was shocked. She was enraged and, above all else, she was hurt. When she started taking losses and came close to winning her big matches only to fail in doing so, it stung. It was like a venomous substance that infected every fiber of her being. It ingrained itself into her very core, harrowing everything within the young woman. Failure was something that she was not used to, and the idea of her being nothing more than that never sat well for her. She hated it and it drove her to insanity. However, that was to be expected as someone with an immense ego complex is doomed for self destruction whenever things don't go their way.
She had mental breakdowns and meltdowns, channeling her ardent aggression unnecessarily and letting loose like a defect canon. Soon, everything was so overbearing and it was all too soul-crushing for her to deal with. So, she left.
She simply vanished from the world without a trace. Any proceeding phone calls or worried attempts at finding her whereabouts were ignored and Caroline decided to hang up her boots. She couldn't face reality. She couldn't look at a mirror and not feel sick to the very pit of her stomach whenever she saw the skin that she lived in. For a while, Caroline O' Hara Burchill hated everything about herself.
Because she became the very thing that she thought she would never become: A failure.
However, her perception of everything changed. Soon, she missed it all: the same rush of adrenaline, the action, and everything in between. Months passed on by, and while she was busy with other endeavors, Caroline longed for the day where she could go back into the ring and start all over again. The burning desire to return to wrestling and reclaim her status as a viable competitor was something that she was wanted - no, needed- more than anything else. That was why Caroline decided to shake off any negative connotations about her and decided to lace up her boots yet again.
So, on June 29th, 2016, Caroline announced that she would be competing again in the squared circle. She had been refining her in-ring skills since earlier in the year, while also competing in various small, local indie promotions every once in a while to make sure that she wasn't rusty. Now that things were set in motion and the anticipation for her return rising steadily, Caroline has never been more determined in her life.
The Queen is back, and in the quest of her grandiose resurgence, she is seeking to claim what it is that she wants.

The relentless hail-like pattering of fingernails on the counter top resonated throughout, with the hard clicks of heels against the flooring joining in to create a melodious tune of stress and annoyance. A sigh later passed through the cherry-wine lips of the woman, being the icing on the frustration cake. In an attempt to calm herself down, the woman ran her hand through the loose strands of her chestnut-brown hair multiple times. Though, the solace of her own silky-soft texture couldn't help as the agitation never let up.
"What the fuck do you mean that the order never got through? What, so am I supposed to just go streaking like some weirdo that has no respect for myself? I don't think you understand how I much of an issue this really is."
Ah, classic Caroline. Never one to shy away from letting people know how she really felt. Can it be unnecessary and even rude? Yes. However, does Caroline even care? No. She absolutely does not care. Whenever she expressed herself, it was always with conviction. If she truly hated someone, she'd tell them straight up. No biggie. If she disliked something, she disliked something. If she was angry and was close to flying all the way back to New York just so that she could slam a certain person's face into the ground violently, then she -- alright, that was a bit much. However, the irate woman at this point felt like doing that as she was highly upset. Whenever Caroline doesn't get what she wants, she'll snap. It certainly isn't a pleasurable thing to witness or experience first hand.
However, to Amy Scottsfiern, it was all hilarious to her. Seeing her client go off was something amusing... of course, when she wasn't the main victim who got caught in the crossfire. Amy just simply continued to drink out of her wine glass, sipping it leisurely while watching Caroline go on with her banter. She let out a giggle, which garnered the unwanted attention of the "Queen" herself.
"What the fuck are you laughing at?" Caroline asked, hurling her phone towards Amy. Lucikly, Amy instinctively duck her head so that the phone wouldn't hit her.
"Alright, you psycho cunt. Relax! Seriously." Amy shook her head and took another sip of her wine. Caroline glared at the woman, almost snarling her words.
"Honestly, go jump off the window or something. None of this is funny. The fucking shipment is being delayed and there is no definitive way I can know for certain if it will come on time or not."
"Well, what's the rush?" Amy asked, arching a brow. "Your debut match isn't going to be happening for a while. We still got all of the time in the world to--"
"No, shut up!" Caroline blurted out. "You don't understand how important it is for me to make sure that I look impeccable for everyone to marvel their eyes at. I need to make sure that my attire fits and, above else, looks stunning."
Caroline then began to pace back and forth with worry etched across her face. Amy simply sighed and rolled her eyes, clearly thinking that Burchill was just being drama queen for no reason.
"Caroline, it's gonna come eventually. If it doesn't get here before your match, then we can always get an outfit for you. Besides, all you really wore during your last tenure as a wrestler was just a crop top and denim shorts. I don't know about you, but that's something that isn't necessarily considered "regal" looking."
"Which is precisely why I ordered the new attire for me, you stupid ass!" Caroline then picked up a nearby pen and threw it at Amy, who was able to deflect it by stretching her hand out and swatting it away. That made Caroline even more angry.
"Honestly, fuck you." The young woman spat out in anger, going to the couch to plop herself down on it. She sighed and closed her eyes, leaning her head back. Amy decided to join her on the couch and sat down next to her, placing a hand on Caroline's shoulder.
"And honestly? You take everything too seriously."
"Hah. You're one to talk..."
"That's because the things I take seriously actually matter. Such as making sure that you don't go around and have a hissy fit like some three year old all because you're more concerned about how you'll look than how you'll perform."
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever." Caroline waved her hand dismissively at Amy. It was now Amy's turn to get a bit annoyed, though, she tried her best to keep her tone neutral. She knew all too well that if she let out any signs of displeasure towards Caroline, then it was going to further exacerbate the situation at hand. That's something that she wanted to avoid doing as it wouldn't benefit any of them. So, she sighed and took the time to think about what to say before she actually responded.
"Look, Caroline... all I'm saying is that you shouldn't get so worked up about every little thing. It's going to piss you off and mess with you, just like how it already is. You need to look at the bigger picture and see that you need to go in to your debut match looking strong. You need focus on winning rather than whining."
Caroline's eyes opened back up to glance at Amy. She was about to say something, but Amy cut her off.
"Honestly, you have got to stop doing that."
"Doing what, exactly?"
"Trying to argue with people who are just telling you important things for your own good."
"Oh my fucking God..." Caroline let out an annoyed groan, ready to get up. However, Amy pressed against Caroline's shoulder firmly to tell her to stay. She looked at Amy with a frown, but she didn't move or say anything.
"See? You're getting upset over nothing. You need to cut that out." Amy spoke sternly, meeting Caroline's gaze with a direct glare. "Is that what you're going to do when things don't go your way? Is that what you're going to do when any of these fuckboys and fuckgirls try to tear you down? Is that what you're going to do when you lose a match or the management tells you that they want to see you improve before they know for certain that you're ready and aren't green anymore? You're going to get up and walk away? Again?"
Caroline looked absolutely shocked as those words came out from Amy's mouth, each of them hitting her like a freight train. For a while, though, Caroline didn't say anything. She looked on, trying to fully comprehend everything that's just been said. Usually, the Aussie wouldn't hesitate to snap back and curse out anyone who spoke to her in that matter. Then again, that would only help to prove how much she couldn't handle hearing the truth. That would only go to show that Caroline would always walk away whenever someone had a point to make about her. She didn't want Amy to think about her that way, and she sure as hell didn't want anyone else to view her in that manner as well. As much as it was hard for her to realize, she knew that Amy was absolutely right.
So, Caroline lowered her gaze to the ground and softened her features; the hard look of anger that was on her face dissipating like fog. She sighed and shook her head slowly, replying to Amy with a simple "No."
In all honesty, Amy herself was bit surprised. She expected Caroline to protest and defend herself, arguing and ready to tear her apart. That was something that she would always do, but now? It seemed as though she turned over a new leaf. Deep inside her, Amy really couldn't believe. That was a why a triumphant smile now graced her face, pleased at the fact that Caroline finally thought logically rather than emotionally and accepted her faults.
"Good." Amy said, letting go of Caroline's shoulder. "I'm glad you can finally understand that. I don't want to see you explode and single-handedly destroy yourself. Besides, I already saw that once before, and I definitely don't want to see you do that again."
"I guess I need to learn how to take a breather every once in a while then, huh?" Caroline asked, looking at Amy once more. Amy nodded.
"Yep, you definitely do. If you go on and you lose your cool, then you're not going to make it far. Besides, you could never get away with that kind of shit here. We're not in XWF anymore, Caroline. We can't afford to have you degrade you name. We're looking to do the opposite of that, remember?"
"Yeah, I know." Caroline nodded. "...I just really wanted to try on those damn tights."
Amy rolled her eyes. "Like I said, we can go shopping and get you something to wear in case the outfit doesn't come when we need it to. That's not an issue."
Caroline got up, snatching the wine glass away from Amy. She chugged down the rest of the wine that was left, which never sat well with Amy.
"...Bitch."
"That's my name. Don't wear it out."
"Well, I guess there's no changing that part of you, huh?" Amy asked, sounding a bit defeated. Caroline grinned and winked, going over to the mini fridge to refill the glass.
"Nope."
And that was what Amy was the most afraid of.
