Character Biography: Having grown up in Scooba, Mississipi, Christian developed the 'small town mentality'. It was a very religious upbringing and that is where he developed his controversial beliefs. He and his wife, Faith (Brie Bella), follow strict rules, in particular the aspects to do with homosexuality, no sex before marriage, interracial relationships, drugs of any kind - essentially taking a lot of their morals from biblical scripture. Although it seems strange, they believe that wrestling people into submitting to their views is the best way to save as many souls as possible. Christian is a relatively quiet man and leaves the talking to his wife as he feels she can better connect with people and knows that they both agree whole heartedly about their message. They are both very calm and collected, but more often that not, cause rage in those around them.
Career History: Fairly new characters so haven't had a decent run yet.
Gimmick: Christian is a grappler, not the most talented, but has learned enough to do what he feels he has too. He has a particular passion for submissions; it's his way of trying to get people to his way of thinking.

As 'Hallelujah' begins to play, Christian appears joined by Faith. He takes her hand, they rub noses and then proceed to walk towards the ring. January 25th 1995
It was dinnertime for Christian on a particularly special day – his eighth birthday. He had invited Faith over to his house for the occasion. She was sat next to him admiring the array of food on the table in front of her - the large chocolate cake in particular.
“Faith sweetheart, as our guest this evenin’, would you like to say grace?” said Christian’s mother warmly.
“Of course.” Faith replied. She was nervous but was honoured to have been given such an honour. “Come, Lord Jesus, be our guest, and let thy gifts to us be blessed. Amen.”
“Amen” repeated the rest of the table, before the clattering of cutlery and plates filled the room.
Carefully, each person at the table passed the sharing bowls around. First was Christian’s father who was in his forties; he had a very clean look about him with not a hair out of place, he was almost too neat for a man from Scooba. Second to receive the dish was Christian’s mother, she was just as pristine as her husband; though she had a friendlier smile, perhaps to take the edge off of her husband’s stern face. The other adult at the table was Christian’s aunt, on his mom’s side. She had come especially for his birthday as the pair had always been close - she was the one who had brought the cake that Faith was still unable to divert her eyes from. As the two sisters chatted, occasionally including the man at the head of the table, Christian and Faith had started a conversation amongst themselves.
“Happy Birthday, Christian.” Faith said with a smile. “And thanks for invitin’ me round for dinner.”
Christian beamed at Faith, “Don’t thank me, of course you were goin' be heah!”
Occasionally the conversation being had amongst the adults could be heard over the top of the children.
“Did you heah about the Jefferson boy?”
“I have a gift for ya’, do ya’ want it now?” said Faith, as she moved in closer so that Christian could hear her over his family.
“Sure, what is it?” said the young boy.
“Well ya have to open it to find out, silly.” She said with a chuckle.
Christian struggled with the wrapping paper for a few moments.
“I would be so ashamed, I don’t know how that family can show their faces round heah no more.”
Christian opened up the box to reveal Faith's gift. It was a silver keychain in the shape of a shield, which had a cross on the front. Christian flipped it over to read the back.
'Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. – Joshua 1.9'
“It’s called the ‘Shield of Faith’” Said Faith, grinning widely. “Ma mama helped me pick it out, do ya like it?”
“Uh... yeah.” he said, unconvincingly.
Faith looked saddened. “You don’t like it.”
“No! I love it! It’s just… I don’t have any keys.” He said with a nervous smile.
Faith laughed relaxing Christian. “I neva’ thought about that.” She stopped to think for a second for a solution.
“I mean… a gay! Just two doors down too. I hope this craziness don’t spread, I’m not having ma' town taken over by sinners!”
“I’ve got it!” Faith exclaimed excitedly. “Put it on your pants, on a belt loop.”
“Yeah, that’s a great idea!” Christian stood up and attached the key chain to one of the loops. “What do ya think?”
Faith smiled, “Perfect!”
“Christian! Why on earth do you have jewelry hanging from your pants?!” Snapped his mother.
“It’s a keychain, mama. Faith gave it to me.” He said proudly, “It’s a 'shield of faith', get it?”
“Just sit down and eat your dinner.” Christian’s mother shook her head dismissing him. “Oh, and stay away from the Jefferson's boy, his brother is goin’ hell for his sins, only God knows whether that nastiness runs in the family.”
“But he’s ma friend, mama.” Said Christian with a look of concern.
“I don’t care, Christian. You do not associate with those kinds of people, not unless you wan’ go to hell too. Is that what you want?” She said angrily.
“No mama.” He said lowering his head.
“I thought not. Now, sit down and eat.”

“I’m so glad we did this!” Proclaimed Faith. “I love that we’ve got a place to call home here now.”
Faith looked around at the large apartment.
“It’s only right that my snuggle muffin feels comfortable.” Said Christian. He gave her a kiss before he walked over to the large window. “Look at that city, just waiting to hear from us.”
Faith walked up to his side and took his hand. “I know, if only they knew the wonderful impact we are about to have.”
“Well, that would take away from our journey as providers of God’s word. It is our test to try and spread the word to those unwilling to listen.” He lifted her hand to his mouth and kissed it gently. “That’s why you have been blessed with the ability to persevere, sweetheart. You keep going when no one else will.”
“That’s true. I couldn’t do it without you by my side; you are my rock. My big soft rock!” Said Faith while crinkling up her nose.
“Well you’re my shield, remember?” Said Christian. He lifted his shirt to reveal the keychain, attached to his right belt loop. “My beautiful, wonderful shield.”
Faith laughed, the love beaming from her. “You know, you could attach that to your keys now?”
“Not a chance, I love having you this close to me at all times.” He pulled her in for a tight embrace.
“I love you, huggy bear!” Said Faith.
“I love you more, pooky bear.” Replied Christian.
Faith shook her head, “No, I love you more!”
“No, I love you more!” Said Christian as he nodded his head at her.
“Yeah but I love you millions more.” Said Faith
“Well I love you trillions more.” Said Christian.
“You just said I don’t give in! Why are you trying to out do me?” She said laughing.
“Very true, but I didn’t say I gave in easily. Besides, it's good practice for when the people out there try and argue against us. It's going to take a lot of determination but you know I'm right here by your side.” Smirked Christian.
"You are always thinking of me. Such a good soul." Said Faith with a smile.
