BATON ROUGE, La.---While most wrestlers are concerned about the wrestling ring in Purity, Louisiana. One wrestler of Pure Amusement Wrestling has been concerned about the flooding of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Leon Cashmere recently signed to PAW, fresh off a hiatus from wrestling after relinquishing the ECWF Undisputed Championship last June. During his time off, Cashmere has been donating his time and efforts to bettering the wrestling community in the Tennessee area, offering wrestling classes at a discounted rate. This time, Cashmere is donating his time in efforts in community service to help those who were affected by the flooding.
“It’s all about giving back, you know?” Leon Cashmere said when he was asked about making the trip a few days early to Louisiana, instead of training for his match. Cashmere and Trinity United Method Church of Knoxville teamed up for clean-up in parts of Baton Rouge. “When you can make a difference such as this, you do it. I’m not worried about partying or training when people are in need, and it’s obvious these people are in need.”
When asked about his main event match and status with PAW:
“This isn’t the time and the place. I’m here to give all I can. I know what hard times are like. Sometimes things are more important than winning and losing wrestling matches.”
