I know it's not asked for, but I felt a need to give some advice and give some positive feedback as well as a few criticisms. Nothing harsh or anything, just a few things I'd like to point out.
Nova is a well written, well thought out character. I love the whole "Nova against the world" mentality she has going for her. She's out to take the world by it's nut sack and drag it behind her in conquest. Like that aspect and think it's well done and executed. The handler is obviously well read and written and show's a level of polish on her product few can match.
All that said, I think Nova can say what she's saying in fewer words definitely. There comes a point in every one of her RP's where I feel like she's beating me in the skull with the point over and over. At that point I'm like, "I get it Nova, your opponent is a piece of trash and you're the second coming of Jesus Christ." In my own experience, people who talk at great length like that often are in love with their voice and the way it sounds when they speak it. Comes off as a negative trait in Nova's case to me.
Now I know what you're thinking, my thoughts on the subject are irrelevant. You write how you want to write and I'm absolute bullshit. In the grand scheme of things, however, you'll find that if you keep bashing, battering, and verbally beating your opponent to death before the match, you'll make your in-character victory seem less important. Raike points this out in his own roleplay even.
You ever notice that the greatest promos in wrestling were the ones that got you excited for the match coming up? Usually they sucked you in, gave you insight to the wrestler's mind, and hyped you big time to go and see the match.
As a heel, you're expected to throw some vitriol at your opposition, but make no mistake, you also have to elevate them at the same time. Being the heel is both freeing and challenging at the same time because you have a delicate tightrope act to work. If you make your opponent look like absolute horse shit, who is going to see that match? It'll be a foregone conclusion that Nova Wonder is going to beat the living shit out of her next opponent. People will be 'paying' to see her get her ass kicked only to be disappointed because in most E-Feds, the stronger style RP typically wins.
I'm sure you're familiar with how the face/heel dynamic works. In wrestling you're one or the other on a match by match basis. Sometimes your opponent is so vile that a person who is normally a heel comes off as a face. It's kind of neat how that works sometimes.
If it weren't for the fact that your opposition is also guilty of some of the same stuff, to the point of belittling your accomplishment as the new Midway champ, I would actually be completely on their side in this instance despite liking your work.
Please take it constructively. You're now in a position of respect and can actually build some cats with the talent at your disposal. Start selling just a little more. I'm not saying lose that defiant, middle finger towards the world sentiment that sums up Nova Wonder's entire existence. That part works. Just pay a little more attention to what you're writing and realize you don't have to beat us to death with the point. Get there, stay there for a little bit, and move on once the point made. Word count for the sake of word count is never a good thing. If you can stuff that RP with tons of varied content and make it all relevant, however, that'd be a far more entertaining read than a long dissertation on one or two subjects.
Again, no disrespect meant. I say this thinking it will be helpful for you. Sell a little. Don't completely eviscerate your opposition because there's always a chance, no matter how slim, that Nova could possibly lose and then what happens? You lost to a complete piece of shit by your own admission. Don't put yourself in that trap. Always have a backdoor or exit plan in case shit goes south. Anyways, that's my two cents.
Summary - I love the character and want to see more of her. Keep the trash talk but try to sell something other than Nova Wonder's badassery. Don't beat us to death by over engineering your point for the sake of an impressive word count. Hopefully you take this not as an insult to you but as something helpful. Don't cheapen yourself by cheapening your opposition. Short term it's great, but long term can have some pretty rough consequences.
