We are taken to one of the amazing forests in Norway. It’s a cold night, there is a thick fog flowing over the muddy soil, the trees are encrusted by thin snow and the dark clouds cover the full moon. As the camera moves into the woods, sounds of a bunch of animals can be heard – crows, elks, foxes, et cetera. A bunch of claws are focused on the ground, which means there are bears nearby. Finally, a path that leads us to the sounds of a waterfall is revealed. Three different boot footprints mark the soil – they look fresher as the camera man advances. One of them looks massively big for a mere human being.
We get to a point which we start listening to a pack of wolves and individuals speaking in the Norwegian language. One of the voices is easy to recognize – it is the one half of the PAW Tag Team Champions: Mikael. The language; however, is incomprehensible for the majority of us watching the video. Unfortunately, there is no subtitle to aid us.
A couple of steps later and we see three men gathered behind a bush. Mikael stands behind a small individual – judging by his size and clothing, it is a member of Supremacy, Svanr. He has a large Sniper rifle in hands – a rifle which appears to be bigger than the man himself. By his side, stands the gigantic figure of Kveldulv. He’s a man that stands at seven-foot-two-inch and weighs in above four hundred pounds – intimidating, for sure. Next to his feet, we see a bloody woodcutter.
The camera gets closer and we see them properly now. Mikael, as always, dresses himself impeccably – it’s a weird sight at first, given the fact that they are in the woods. Once he notices the camera approaching, he decides to speak in English.
“Easy, Svanr… Easy. Control your breathing… Control yourself. Do not waste this opportunity.”
Kveldulv looks at Mikael in an angry manner. He hates whenever Mikael speaks in a language that it’s not their native one – especially when they are in their homeland. However, he decides to keep his wrath to himself and focus on the horizon. The same horizon which Svanr has his rifle pointed at. Once the camera man positions himself to show their faces, we can notice that Svanr has a maniacal smile. Not only that, but we also notice that the man has a great proficiency with that weapon, even though it looks heavier and bigger than him.
Silence.
Sounds of animal movements can be heard now. It appears to be coming from behind a bunch of trees opposing them. Quickly, Svanr loads his weapon and presses his cheek onto the gun in order to aim properly.
A loud howl echoes all over the place. Svanr looks extremely hyped now, Mikael; however, rests his hand on the man’s shoulder and calms him down. Kveldulv just frowns as he attempts to find the source of the sound.
“Der borte. Svanr, ikke gå glipp av skudd. Jeg trenger å mette min sult etter blod.”
(“Over there. Svanr, don’t miss the shot. I need to satiate my hunger for blood.”)
Mikael quickly grins after Kveldulv says that. He doesn’t appear to be as bothered as weeks ago when Kveldulv talked like that. It is like he has accepted the fact that people will not understand his ways regardless.
Silence.
Silence.
Svanr inhales the air deeply.
Mikael and Kveldulv observe the trees looking for any movement. After a couple of tense seconds, they find what they were looking for: a wolf! The animal runs toward another direction as soon as it senses the movement behind the bushes – Svanr got too excited and made too much noise. The men; however, do not give up. They run on direction of the wolf. The camera man manages to keep up behind them. For a moment, though, he appears to be missed. After all, the Supremacy members know that forest like the palm of their hands… The camera man; however, does not.
POOOOOOOOOOOW!
The sound of a weapon firing a bullet echoes. Such that makes a bunch of birds flap their wings in order to fly away from the surroundings. They sense the danger as much as that wolf did.
POOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!
Another shot.
The camera man runs toward the source of the sound and finally finds the three men, also running in the woods. We can hear the puffing coming from all men, they’ve been running for a couple of minutes – and the adrenaline of the moment is definitely catching up to them.
The wolf howls, it is close to them. Svanr goes to one of his knees and loads the gun again. Kveldulv stands in a confident manner – it is as if he is willing to fight the wild animal with his bare hands, and he looks excited. Mikael pulls his personal razor out of his jacket’s pocket and stands behind Svanr.
“It is close… I can feel it. Svanr, our lives are placed upon your hands right now. Do you wish to kill a God? Do you not wish to transcend?”
Right after the question, Svanr’s attitude abruptly changes. He looks as serious as we’ve ever seen on television. It’s like he’s just incorporated a new man – an extremely dangerous ones. His eyes show nothing but… Insanity. The eyes of an assassin. A minute later, the wolf decides to show up to confront them. Judging by its’ body language, we can tell that it’s ready for a fight. The wolf slowly approaches them as Svanr points his gun.
“Wait for it… Too soon. I want you to look into its eyes, Svanr. Look into its eyes, Kveldulv. No longer does the wolf fear us, furthermore, it’s made its decision. We are its prey – kill or get killed.”
The wolf stops now. It howls savagely and shows the pointy teeth – the eyes are fully black. Killer intentions can be noticed, there’s no doubt. The camera man appears to be shaking in fear, unlike the Supremacy members.
The wolf runs towards them!
“Svanr… Wait for it.”
It is approaching them quickly. The camera man gets more nervous every single seconds – it is as if he is prepared to run away as soon as possible.
“Feel it… Feel the last beatings of your heart. Inhale the last oxygen into your lungs. Contemplate every single thing that you have done throughout your life… Was it worth it? Did you accomplish much? Do you crave for more? DO YOU!?”
Svanr aims at the wolf. Oddly, he appears to be happy. He smiles and licks his lips. Kveldulv lets out a weird laugh.
“NOW! DO IT, SVANR! CLAIM THE ANIMAL’S LIFE!!! ABSORB HIS POWER!!! CHANGE ITS DESTINY AND BE A……… GOD!!! BEEEEEE A GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!”
POOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW!
More wings flapping.
Silence.
The intense breathing of the camera man can be heard now. They slowly approach the wolf. It is moveless. Dead? Unlikely. Svanr shot the animal’s chest, yet, the wolf still breathes. The poor animal is laid on the mud, weeping. Its’ eyes; however, still possess deadly intentions.
“Kveldulv… It is your turn now. Look at it… Observe its life slowly fading. How do you think it is feeling right now? I always wanted to know, if you ask me. I wonder how animals feel when they are nearby the path to the afterlife……………………… But then, I realize that I have no mercy. The Devil has no mercy whatsoever.
Kveldulv…
… End his life.
Right here.
Right now.
Enjoy the power of the Devil. Feel its heart no longer beating by your own hands… Be… The devil.
Be.
The devil.”
As soon as Mikael pronounced the last word, Kveldulv grabbed the wolf by its neck and twisted about 360 degrees. It was a horrible scene – the camera man probably thought that it wouldn’t happen; therefore, he didn’t move the camera away. Of course, he does such thing now. He shows the muddy ground while we listen to the sounds of ribs cracking and the flesh of the animal being pierced.
Silence.
Mikael’s chuckle can be heard.
“You… Yes. You. Come over here. Now.”
The camera man starts to breathe heavily now. He fears that he might be the next one. Once he finally focuses the scene, we just shake our heads at that terrible sight. The camera shakes a little, but we can see that the wolf was beheaded… By Kveldulv. His hands covered by blood. Svanr holds the wolf’s head and actually caresses it, while showing a proud smile. Mikael drew an inverted cross at his forehead with the animal’s blood.
“Show them… Show the whole PAW universe what we do! Do you think that beating a man in the ring is hardcore enough? DO YOU!? HAVE YOU EVER… TAKEN A MAN’S LIFE? HAVE YOU!?”
Mikael pulls the camera man and forces him to go to his knees in order to focus the beheaded animal. There’s blood all over the surroundings. Next, Mikael grabs the camera. He passes it to Kveldulv, whom shows the camera man running away. They laugh.
Kveldulv shows Mikael now. He’s sitting nearby the body of the wolf – legs crossed, arms resting onto his knees.
“Oh, hehe... Trust me. I have not!
Now let me give you all a piece of knowledge… Wolves? Wolves don’t wander by themselves. They wander in packs. However, I am sure you already know that. You can simply watch Discovery Channel nowadays and you are set for your entire life – the television teaches you how the world works. And you accept whatever the television has to tell you. The television; however, will not teach you that a wolf’s spine is not that hard to tear apart. Of course, you need the proper dexterity and some physical strength… We have such. Well, Kveldulv has such.”
Mikael takes a look at Svanr whom appears to be talking to the head of the wolf and carries on with his monologue. He lets out a quick laugh.
“Adam Wolfe. Are we ever going to tell them? I assume that the former BFW people are fully aware, but... Shall we tell the others the truth about our ‘long-time’ alliance? Well, perhaps not. If they are not clever enough to understand how this is working, then they do not deserve to listen to the truth. After all, like I’ve already said multiple times, it takes one insane man to understand another. I understand you, Wolfe… Do you understand me? Oh, I doubt it. I truly do! In my opinion, I believe that you may need to prove yourself. Understand that I have no intentions to break our team for now, Wolfe… We are the Champions. We told every single team in the company that we would win the war…
… And so we did. We lost a couple of minor battles. But the war was conquered by our own hands. However, that does not put you in equal grounds with me. You see, I think that you are still holding back your true self… Your true potential. Oh, and Wolfe, I hate to see potential going to waste. Ask Kimitsu, one of my proud students whom I embraced as a honorary Supremacy member – no longer is she a following the words of a fool. She is a warrior by her own. I gave her an opportunity to find the path to greatness… And so she did.
And I want to present you the same opportunity, Adam! Congratulations! I fear that you might not care at all about my gift to you. Fortunately, you do not have to. The powers that be acknowledge you and I as worthy of facing the so-called Champion of PAW… Oh, Press. Your attitude amuses me. You are so interesting!
Either you, Adam, or I get to face that man and a bunch of other capable individuals…
… We have to fight each other for that spot.”
Mikael gets up to his feet. He pats the dirt off his knees and bottom; however, the mud is too thick; therefore, his clothing is still dirty. We can see that he looks frustrated now. Svanr bursts out laughing – Mikael thought that he was being mocked, but Svanr is just playing his the wolf’s head.
“Adam… I want you to give me more than your confusion. Enough of games and antics. It is about time you showed everybody your true self, yes? Help me to help you… And you shall be the one catapulting me to a World Championship opportunity. For those that know me, they are fully aware that I could not care less about title belts… Leather belts. That is what they are, in essence. The PAW World Championship means NOTHING to me. Press is nothing to me. He is not worthy… I would tell you people the reasons, but I am afraid that such is an story for the near future.
Make no mistake, Wolfe… I am not here to give people opportunities that they do not deserve. You want to stick with me as a partner? Prove yourself worthy. You want to have a shot at the World Championship? Prove… Yourself… Worthy. Are you worthy, Wolfe? Are you ready to be the leader of the pack?
Because just like this poor wolf, I feel like you are lost… You are looking for something. And you cannot find it. You appear to be brave when you stand by my side or even talk to me – do you think that I will allow you to talk down on me? Huh? I forgive once; however, I never forget. You walked into my FUCKING HOME AND DISRESPECTED ME! IS THAT HOW YOU THANK ME FOR MY KINDNESS, YOU LITTLE MOTHERFUCKER!?”
Svanr now pays attention to Mikael. It is the first time ever that we see Mikael swearing on TV. Also the first time that Mikael appears to be losing control and shouting. He looks different. Svanr likes what he sees – he respects what he sees. He admires the transformation before his eyes.
“Pardon me, Adam… I have been having rough days, my friend. You have to understand that, sometimes, I feel as preoccupied as Jack Colter does whenever he realizes that his manhood is as tiny as American Tommy's intellect. Plus, I have been travelling from USA to Norway, then vice-versa. Multiple times. Even God gets tired of that eventually… Oh, speaking of gods, it appears that we have a ‘God’ in our roster! Deus is his name, is it not? For those that are not aware, Deus is the Portuguese word for God. Funny, is it not?
This is going to be fun!
Adam, give me everything you got. Whether you want to accept this or not, I will be testing your strength when we step into that ring. An advice… It is not about physical power only. No. You have to give me more than simple physical attacks. You have to show me that your soul has found its meaning in this company – I want you to let it all out on me.
Your anger.
Your hate.
Your concerns.
I want you to protect your reputation… Your so-called reputation of the best Carnage Champion ever…
… Are you willing to bring carnage to that ring, Wolfe? Oh, trust me... I am!
Adam, if you want to be the leader of the pack, then you must get past me. An easy task, eh? Hehehe. You could settle for something small such as being the leader of the pack, or you could learn from me… You could learn the true meaning of leadership. As far as I am concerned, this wolf over here might have been a leader of the pack – we do not live life based on possibilities, though. That is how you lose wars.
Come this next show, I will prove you and the whole world that being a leader of the pack means nothing.
I am more than a mere pack.
I am The Devil…
I am God…
I am the best and the worst…
The heaven and the inferno…
The killer and…
… Everything.”
Mikael gets closer to the camera now. He grabs it and focuses his own eyes – they shiny brightly.
“You better be willing to take my life into that ring, Wolfe… And you know what? I look forward to it. Kill me… Feel my heart no longer pumping in my chest… Crave your name in history as the one who vanquished Mikael…
… Be a God.
Be.
The.
Devil.
Oh, I sure look forward to this battle, my friend.”
Mikael focuses his smile now. The camera shakes for a moment and then fades to black.
“Embrace the reality… Embrace Supremacy, Wolfe!”
End.
