Opening Bout
Fatal Four Way
Trixie versus Al Envy versus Kelsey Spencer versus Jack Nomad
How do you start WICKED's first venture into another state with a bang? They say if you're going to fuck things up, then fuck them up right, and PAW could see no better way to do this than by taking a little Blonde Bombshell, mixing in some Envy, adding a dash of Blue Thunder, and then cranking the blender up to Hardcore. Jack Nomad had an impressive showing at WICKED#8 where he dethroned PAW's resident Rock God, Luke Knux, and put the locker room on notice with his brutal style. Trixie, on the other hand, continues to try and find her place on the roster, after being forced to submit at the hands of Nomad's girlfriend, Alexandra Kelly. Newcomer's Al Envy and Kelsey Spencer are being thrown into the lion's den early, without even being given a dark match to prepare themselves for their arrival here in PAW. Lady Munin was recorded as stating that these two can forego the usual formalities, as she has seen their work previously in other organizations, and specifically hired them for their talent. With little known of Envy and Spencer in the PAW universe, and Nomad only having one victory under his belt, Trixie could be considered at a slight disadvantage as her opponents have an entire library of her work on tape. Preparation is the key, and we suggest that you be prepared to be amazed, as this match will kick start the show at WICKED#9!
Singles Match
William Saint versus Tapioca Joe
William Saint signed on the dotted line during The Box Office on WICKED#8, and soon after took a beating at the hands of GZW Faithful, John Champa and Joshua Dane, a duo, that for whatever reason, don't care to see Saint on his feet. Tapioca Joe was successful in his first contest, which was a dark match on WICKED#7, but was interrupted by the Hardcore one, Jack Nomad. With both of these men being new to PAW, a victory would help cement themselves a positive beginning with the company, but one has to wonder, will they even get the chance? Champa and Dane continue to lurk on the outskirts of the promotion, and have shown no intentions of backing down from what they claim as taking back GZW by destroying PAW. Lady Munin, at this juncture, has failed to ensure anyone's safety at the hands of these outsiders, and considering their relationship with Saint, Tap might just get his bell rung by being unfortunate enough to be in the same ring. We can hope for a clean match-up, but with the security failure on WICKED#8, we wouldn't bet the farm on it.
Singles Match
Alexandra Kelly versus Muru
Alexandra Kelly put on a stellar performance at WICKED#8, taking home a victory in a Triple Threat match against Johnny Sykes and Trixie. Not only was she victorious, but she received a special visit from the Lady of PAW welcoming her into the fold. Many would say that the company has been laid at The Pixies feet, as she has promised, along with boyfriend, Jack Nomad, to usher in an era of violence to PAW. Muru, on the other hand, stood in stark contrast to Kelly at WICKED#8, picking up a victory over "Rock Hard" Richard Stone, and then humbly thanking the PAW fans for their support, and promising them that he wants to make the place better. Quite a mission statement from the former Hate City Wrestler, who the crowd really seemed to get behind after his speech. Kelly, however, isn't without her own following, and so it will be interesting to see which way the crowd leans, and if Muru will have any of the same reservations that Johnny Syke did when he had to face The Pixie. Only time will tell, and it is soon running out as WICKED #9 comes to you live on April 28th.
The Box Office
Hosted by Cross Recoba
Special Guest: Luke Knux & The Scumbag Society
Luke Knux, the Rock Star, put on a valiant effort against Jack Nomad on WICKED#8, but unfortunately for him, came up short, thus ending his recent streak. Cross Recoba, obviously sensing a story here, reached out to PAW Management, and asked that the Rock God be his next guest on The Box Office. Management decided to do him one better. Not only would he get an interview with the unorthodox superstar, he would also get the entire Scumbag Society for their second appearance on PAW. Though not officially a concert, the group will be performing a brand new single that Luke has said to have recorded just this week. It should be interesting to see how the song contrasts, as when he began writing it he was on top of the world, but didn't complete it til after his loss to Nomad. Anytime the Scumbag Society's around, things have a tendency of getting out of control. That being said, PAW would like to remind the ladies to please keep their flashes to a minimum, as we don't want to have to label this presentation of WICKED as NC17. Thank You.
Grudge MatchTag Match
#I'mWithStevie (Lola and Harris) versus The BombTrax (Press & Youth)
Stevie Harris and Lola did everything they could to knock Press off the mountain as the Pure Amusement Wrestling Heavyweight Champion at WICKED#8, but he and his partner thwarted the attempt, resulting in both Harris and Press being disqualified. The mayhem continued well after the bell sounded, only ending due to security pulling the two teams apart. Management, rather than try to keep the teams separated, has decided that if the quartet want so badly to beat the hell out of one another, then why not let them go at it in a tag match. Despite an impressive showing at both, The St. Patrick's Day Super Show and WICKED#8, the I'm With Stevie Movement has suffered it's setbacks. First, in the championship match at the Super Show, then a loss for Lola at WICKED#7, and then once more getting disqualified at WICKED#8. Though Press was successful at the Super Show, The BombTrax have not been without their own bad luck, with Flaming Youth only just now being cleared to wrestle after being out for a month and a half with a concussion thanks to CJ O'Donnell. Not to mention the mounting challengers that have stepped forward since Press first became champion, including O'Donnell, the #1 Contender, Johnny Raike, and now, Calvin Harris. Yet the fires that were started by Press and Stevie back at the Super Show still burn brightly, and only God knows what will happen now that Lola and Youth are involved. Stay tuned to the PAW website, as I'm sure more news will develop in the weeks leading up to this match.
{Main Event}Ladder Match
-Titans of the Midway Championship-
Calvin Harris versus Johnny Raike(c)
Calvin Harris and Johnny Raike haven't been in a ring together since their first encounter at The St. Patrick's Day Super Show, along with Alex Cross, which decided the Titans of the Midway Championship. That night, Raike walked away as the Champion, while Calvin walked away bitter and angry. Since then, both men have went on to victories over CJ O'Donnell, the #1 Contender, resulting in an argument over who should be the one to next face Press for the PAW Heavyweight Championship. Harris made it clear at WICKED#8, that he felt that he was the 'New #1 Contender', crashing the start of the show to have a tet-a-tet with PAW Management. Johnny Raike, who showed his interest in the PAW Championship on two other occasions, first on WICKED#7 during 'The Box Office', and again on WICKED#8 in a conversation directly with the champion. Johnny has been vocal in being willing to bide his time and let things play out as they may, but will that have changed since his victory over O'Donnell? Will Calvin Harris be content with an opportunity to become Titans of the Midway Champion, or will he see it as a slight against his desires to be the PAW Champion? No one can say for sure, but we do know this... There's more than one reason that this is a ladder match. The winner will climb his way to the top, and prove himself a true Titan. The other will fall to the wayside, and have to start their climb anew. Who will be the '#1', no pun intended, when the dust settles in El Paso? We'll find out when WICKED#9 invades Texas!
